Not much to write....the boys have been training, pretty much everyday. One of the new rookies, Kane Munro, arrived over from Melbourne recently. The Eagles have the Christmas Party for Peters Eagles Force members tomorrow, which is a great chance for members to catch up with the players and get a free ice-cream and stuff......that's it for now.....

Well, the Eagles Shop officially opened today. There were a couple of players around, and they were doing like shifts, continually swapping over. The only player that I think was there for the whole day would have been Daniel Metropolis. He was sociallising with quite a lot of the fans that made their way down there. A handballing board was set up too, and the rookies were mucking around on that a bit. Ken Judge made an appearance too. 96FM was down there having a sausage sizzle.
The actual shop is really good. There got everything in there. I could spend a fortune in there- if I had a fortune to spend!!! Um, pre-season training is still on. It goes until the 23rd of December...I think I might have said that before. Um, Scotty Cummings is gunna be Prince Charming at the TVW 7 Christmas Pagent. PMFM has a competition running to be Cinderella....I think that's it for now!!!! Cyas!!!!

Okay, I'm updating this a bit more often, so I hope you're all proud of me!!!! I'm proud of myself, put it that way!!!! Well the basic news is about which clubs the Eagles rookies will be playing for next year, after the whole hsot club agreement died. :( The rookies that were originally from WA will return to their Westar club of origin, and interstate recruits will all go to East Perth. The only one that there are problems with is Brandon Hill, who could be going to either Peel Thunder or East Perth. That's it for now!!!!
19/11/99
Well, my good friend H is over, and she's just told me off for not updating this. She also wanted me to say "I'd just like to remind you all that Brandon Hill is the next best fullback ever!!" Hmm, I think that's enough from H....she's off talking about Skye now.
Eagles have started pre-season training. They train on Monday and Friday mornings, and Wednesday evenings. Tomorrow, they're at the family day at Ascot. I'm pretty sure that the whole squad is gunna be there. I think that's all for this month.
30/10/99
Wow, it's been about a month since I updated this. Well, here's the latest news. West Perth defeated South Fremantle in the Grand Final, and if any of you didn't know that, then you must have been under a rock for the past month or so!!! That was not a good result from my point of view. It's the last time I'm going to even consider cheering for South. It's very over-rated.
Anyway, enough with that pointless bollocks!!! The AFL's silly season is over. If you're interested in finding out who has left the Eagles, check out the Official Site. The only ones I can think of (off the top of my head) are- Jason Ball (off to Sydney), Chris Mainwaring (retired) and Brett Heady (retired). I think that right. If I've made a mega tank mistake there, let me know and I'll fix it up. I'm not perfect, afterall. The national draft is on tomorrow, so check out the 'Interesting Stuff' section to see al the draft news. I'll have the complete draft bizo on here.
Other news....Guy McKenna won the Eagles Club Champion award, and Phil McKensie took out the Claremont equivalent. It was interesting to note that 3 out of the top 4 of the Claremont polling was Eagles players. Jaxon Crabb was 2nd, Chad Fletcher 3rd and Heath Younie was 4th. Heath also won the club's goal kicking award.
I think that's all the news for now. If I've forgotten anything I'll post it up on here tomorrow when I write the whole draft bollocks up here!!!

Well, not much has been happening. The Westar Grand Final is on this weekend. South Fremantle vs West Perth at Subi Oval. That means that the Grand Final parade will be on Thursday, going through the streets of Perth with players from both of those teams. Should be pretty funky. If I get any good photos, I'll post them up on here. If anyone who reads this goes along, I'll be the one dressed up as a fairy with my friends.
If the Westar Grand Final is coming up, that means that the AFL Grand Final has been and gone. North Melbourne kicked Carlton's scrawny little butts, and I couldn't be happier!!! Shannon Grant won the Norm Smith medal, which is awarded to the best player in the Grand Final. I reckon it would have been tough to decide the best player, coz North had so many!!! Shannon was a worthy winner though. On a bit of a different note- I loved the pre game entertainment. Especially when Human Nature were singing. And when 'Up There Cazaly' was sung.
Finally, the Sandover medal and Brownlow medal counts. The Sandover medal, awarded to the Best and Fairest player in the Westar competition, was won by Gus Seebeck, a former South Fremantle player who now plays for Perth. Interestingly, he won the Predergrast medal last year for the best and fairets in the reserves competition. Personally, I loved his speech and the fact that he won, but others will probably differ. The Brownlow was won by Hawthorn captain Shane Crawford. A very deserving winner. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house when he made his speech, and when his mother was inteviewed. Another speech that I love.
The Claremont Tigers and West Coast Eagles Best and Fairest counts are coming up. I'm going to the Claremont one, but I'll probably watch the Eagles one on the telly. I'll tell yas all about them later on!!! Oh, and before I go, congrats to the Aussie Tennis Team (esp Lleyton Hewitt and Wayne Arthurs) on making it through to the Davis Cup final!!

Sorry, I've been a bit slack with the updating of this. Well, The Eagles made it through to the second round of the finals, where they lost to Carlton. I haven't seen the game, but apparently it was pretty shocking. Claremont lost to East Perth at Perth Oval, and then beat Swan Districts at Claremont Oval. Andrew played in both games for Claremont. Against East Perth, he kicked 3 goals in about 11 minutes, and spent quite a lot of time up at full forward. Against Swan Districts he played in the forward line again, but I don't remember him kicking any goals. Despite the fact that Claremont won, it wasn't enough for them to make the finals, so their season is now over. I spoke to Andrew again, and he signed the piccie that Toosh made for me, and I got another photo with him. I also asked him about his tattoo, so if anyone's interested, he has his star sign tattoo-ed. I'm pretty sure that it's on his stomach.
The Sandover medal count was on this week. Andrew polled 7 votes, which I reckon is good, considering it was his first proper Westar season, and he played a couple of games for the Eagles. Chad Fletcher was the highest polling Eagle/Claremont player.

Well, Embers wasn't called up to play for the Eagles last weekend. They lost to the Western Bulldogs by two points. Man, these two point losses are shocking. The problem was, Claremont had a bye, so Andrew wasn't playing anywhere!!! If anybody cares though, I went down to the South Freo vs East Freo game. Joel Duckworth was down there. I've got quite a few little stories about what happened there, so if you're interested, email me.
This weekend was a mega shocker. On the Friday night, Claremont played South Freo. Embers got a goal and I went meega spak, and he sheparded the South player off so that we got another. In the last quarter (Tigers had been behind all day) Heath Younie got a goal to put Claremont in fron by 3 points. Then the South Freo fullback kicked a goal so that South were up by 3. Tigers got the ball out of the middle and it came to Embers. He had a shot on goal that hit the post, so Claremont lost by two points. On Friday, I found out that Embers had been shown this page too!!! Scary stuff.
On Saturday night, the Eagles played St. Kilda at the WACA. They lost by 41 (I think) points. Shocking. I'm stuck trying to find a good point out of this weekend.
Next games are- Claremont play East Perth at Perth Oval on Saturday!!! I'm looking forward to that one coz I can stand on the Hill, and pretend that we're at the soccer and sing heaps of soccer chants!!! The Eagles are playing the Westren Bulldogs on Friday night in Melbourne somewhere as their first final. It's now becoming a case of do or die for both teams.
15/8/99
Andrew Embley was dropped from the West Coast Eagles line up on the Thrusday night, which meant he was gunna be playing for the Clremont Tigers on the Saturday against West Perth at Arena Joondalup. Embers (along with his rookie teammates) tried hard in a somewhat unfamiliar territory. They were behind all day, and never really looked like they might take the lead. It was a pretty physical game, with David Antonowicz needing to be taken to hospital after a hard knock. Just thought that you'd all like to know that I went to see Embers after the game and I got a photo with him and got him to sign somethings. Later that day, the Eagles lost to Hawthorn at the WACA. Tony Woods kicked a goal in the dying minutes to give Hawthorn victory by 2 points.
This weekend, Claremont have got a bye. The West Coast Eagles will be playing the Western Bulldogs over in Melbourne somewhere. It's at Optus Oval on Saturday.
10/8/99
On the weekend (Friday night to be exact) the Eagles lost to Essendon by 10 goals. Andrew was playing in his 9th game. In the second quarter (I think it was) Paul Barnard (I think it was him) punched him in the side of the face. I was not impressed, let me tell you!!! To make the weekend better though, Andrew was at the Claremont game as a spectator and Claremont won, with many of his rookie team mates playing.
This weekend, the Eagles are playing Hawthorn at the WACA on Saturday night, and Claremont are playing West Perth at Arena Joondalup during the day. Should be some really good games, so get down there if you can!!
