“Okay…” Ash said.
“Yes Ms. L?” Ash heard 2 girls say.
“Allie, Amanda, this is your new roommate…” Ms. L said.
“Does her name begin with an A?” Allie joked.
“Actually, it’s Ashleigh.” Ash said. “Hey, I’m Ashleigh Johnson. I’m a senior.”
“Cool, so am I…I’m Amanda Nickels.” Mandy said.
“Not another one!” Allie complained. “Hey Ash, do you mind if I call you that? I’m Allie Taylor. I’m a junior.”
“Well…I’m a senior…but I’m like 20 years old only. I skipped 3rd grade.”
“Amanda, Alexandria, show Ashleigh to your dorm room.” Ms. L said. “Here’s your key, Ashleigh.”
“Thank you.” Ash said.
“Okay Ash…I’m um…this may be personal…I don’t know…but, why did you come when we have 4 weeks of school left?” Allie asked.
“I need my diploma…marine biology…but I couldn’t stay in Florida.” Ash said, as her cell phone rang. “One sec…do you mind if I sit on the couch?”
“It’s your couch too.” Amanda said.
“Hello?” Ash asked. “No Nick. Nick, I can’t. What are you doing stalking me or something?” “Nick, I can’t do this. It’s too much.”
“Mandy!” Allie whispered, while Ash was on the phone. “I didn’t mean to hear this…”
“Yea right.” Amanda said.
“Anyways, think about it Mandy!” Allie said. “Ashleigh Johnson…talking to a guy named Nick…”
“It could be a girl…you know Nicole…” Mandy said.
“But who did supermodel Ashleigh Johnson just break up with?” Allie said.
“Holy crap!” Mandy said. “Our new roommate is a multimillionaire!”
“Yea…” Allie said.
“Alright girls. That was just me ex…um…lets go shopping, meet guys…you know.” Ash said.
“Okay!” Allie said. “I love meeting guys.”
“I love shopping.” Amanda said.
“I love both.” Ash said.
“Okay. Let’s go.” Allie said. “Ugh…look who’s coming.”
“Who?” Ash asked. “She’s kind of pretty.”
“Jennifer James and her clique, Becky Berg, Brittney Berg, Danielle E, Courtney Riley, Emily K, Kimmie L, and Grace D.” Amanda said. “Jennifer, Courtney, Danielle and Brittney are seniors. Becky, Emily, Kimmie and Grace are juniors.”
“Hey Ashleigh!” Jennifer said. “Oh, hi Amanda…um…”
“Alexandria…” Becky said.
“It’s Allie, Rebecca.” Allie said.
“Whatever!” Brittney said. “Hi Ashleigh, we heard you were new. We decided to come check you out.”
“Yea are you doing anything?” Danielle asked.
“Yea, I was going to the mall.” Ash said.
“Oh okay. I’ll call you tonight?” Brittney asked.
“Yea…that’d be fine. I’m in room 128.” Ash said.
“Okay great.” Courtney said.
“Yea whatever.” Jen said.
“Next time the juniors wont be with and we can party!” Brittney said.
“Yep bye.” Ash said.
