Chapter 12

"Okay, Matt, Just do what you want" Nick walked away from Matt and looked for Erin. Where had she gone?

"Hey Brian, have you seen your sister?" Nick asked his friend.

"No, I haven't seen her since she ran off on me a couple hours ago." Brian answered, "Why, is she missing?"

"I was going to show her around, but I had to talk to Matt for 5 minutes and now she's gone."

"I told her to tell security if she left." Brian said.

"Hey Lonnie, C'mere for a minute." Nick yelled.

"A large black man came over, "Did you want something?"

"Have you seen Erin?"

"She said she was going back to the bus a few minutes ago." Leone's brow furrowed, "What's with that girl anyway? Half the time she seems angry, the other half terrified."

"I just wish I knew" Brian sighed, "Thanks Lonnie"

Back on the bus Erin was writing a letter to Keturah. She gave her Brian's cell phone number.

'If thee ever needs to get a hold of me for something important thee can use this.' Erin told her in the letter. Erin also mailed Keturah a list of venues and hotels the Boys would be at. This way thee can send me letters too.

Erin sealed the envelope and stepped outside the bus to mail it. She saw a sea of girls surrounding the bus and the arena holding up posters praising her brother's band. When they saw Erin they started screaming and ran toward her. Quickly she stepped back into the bus and locked the door.

After a few minutes Erin peeked out the windows. Girls were beating on the side of the bus and yelling. Erin backed away from the window and climbed into her bunk. She felt so tiny. What if those girls got into the bus? There were so many of them and they didn't look like they just wanted to ask her some questions about her brother. Most of them looked as if they would like to tear her apart. 'Why?,' she thought, 'because I'm Brian's sister?'

Erin glanced at her watch. It was 6 and the concert started at 7. That meant the girls could be out there for another half-hour. Erin could feel the bus vibrating from the girls pounding on it. Erin was starting to feel very scared. She had been in many fights before. But in those fights she had always been armed and had friends to help her.

"What I would give for Sarah right now." Erin muttered under her breath. Erin huddled in her bunk and waited for the pounding to stop. After about 15 minutes the pounding stopped. Erin stepped out of her bunk and looked out the window. Most of the girls were gone, although there were a few scattered here and there. What really scared Erin were the police around the bus.

The police had always been Erin's enemy. They had returned her to her mother and dragged her to Brian. When Erin was in X the police had chased her quite a bit. The sight of a blue uniform was enough to make Erin turn and run.

"Better get used to it." she told herself. After making sure the door was locked, Erin went to the entertainment room and turned on the TV.
