Anisa had already taken to the other guys. More, so then she did Brian. But, that was a given. She found the Backstreet Bus to look somewhat 'Livable'. They had a sitting roon, twelve to thirteen bunks, a kitchinette. It was rather cute.
"Anisa, you can have the bunk right above this one." AJ pointed out.
She smiled and threw her tiny back-pack into the bunk. Of course, cureosity won her over and she couldn't help but think who was sleeping in the bunk below hers.
"AJ? Who belongs to this bunk?" She asked, patting the bunk below hers.
"Umm...let's see..." He had to think on his toes. "I'm pretty sure it's Howie's. He's a strange guy. He switches off and on. Like hot and cold. Cat's and Dog's. Ya feel me?"
Anisa smiled. "I feel ya." She laughed.
Right now, they were heading to Texas. They would be kickin off their tour in Dallas. So, Anisa figured she mine as well get out of her bunk and join the rest of the world. Or in her case 'guys'. She cautiously got out. Not wanting to bump into anything, or anyone in the process.
"Hey Anisa." Nick smiled.
"Hi Nick. Don't your eyes hurt?" She asked, referring to him playing Nintendo 64 in such poorly lit areas.
"Nah. I think their used to it." He laughed.
She smiled and sat down on the couch. Nick was seated on the floor in front of the couch. He politely shut off his game and figured he'd help his friend out and find out what truly is bugging Anisa.
"So...." He hopped onto the couch. "How do you like our bus? And if you say you don't like it. Expect a pretty lil prank gonna be pulled your way." He smirked.
She laughed. "Oh, no, I like it. It's bigger then I had imagined. I wasn't to sure how big a bus could be. But, you guys sure have this one furnished like a home."
Nick smiled. "Indeed we do."
As Brian heard Anisa's voice, he peeked his head out from the back of the bus. He saw Nick and Anisa talking.
"Hey, Rok. Whatcha doing?" AJ asked.
He pointed toward Anisa and Nick. "Just listening in on their conversation." He stated 'matter-of factly'.
"Oh, eaves dropping?"
"No, I'd prefer to call it listening." He corrected AJ.
So, Brian and AJ both began their 'Listening' and were very surprised to what they both heard.
"Anisa, what exactly happened between you and Brian?" Nick asked.
She threw her hands up in disgust. "Ok, the guy was my bestfriend. And now, I hear he's yours." She pointed.
"Well, yeah. But, their's enough room for the both of us. Besides, I think you had first dibs." Nick said, smiling.
She shook her head. "No, it's ok. You can have him."
Nick could tell that she was being over-dramatic. He could just tell by her animated body-language. It was actually really cute.
"Oh, well, I'll leave room just in case you change your mind. So, continue..." He pressed.
She sighed. "Brian and I were inseperable. I mean, me, Brian and Kevin would all go riding our little horses after dinner when we were little. We did everything together. We played house."
"Did you play Doctor?" Nick asked, sarcastically.
"No, we didn't!" She corrected.
"Sorry, continue..."
"I always had a way of hiding things from Brian. I know it's not good. But, the things I hid, I did it for his own protection I guess. I knew his heart was bad. And I knew stress made things worse on him as a kid. I didn't want him to worry about me."
"What kind of things did you hide?"
"It's not important. I'd really rather not go into them if you don't mind."
"It's ok."
"Ok, so you know the whole 'I'm in history, he get's a call, leaves the class and then some how leaves my life' story, right?" He nodded. "Not even a birthday card, Nick. Not one card from him. Telling me where he went. What he was up too. My god, I mean, being his bestfriend I would have wanted to be their to congratulate him on his success, your success, all of your success."
"Well, Anisa. I realize Brian was a dumbass and all. But, people change. Don't you think Brian could have changed?"
"Could have and have are very different, Nick. I highly doubt he had the maturity to change."
Brian's face fell as he listened to this conversation. She was so animated with Nick. She found no problem talking to him about the problems she has. But, what was he going to do to make them better?
