"Yeah.... *N SYNC." Nick said, with no feeling in his voice.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing really." Nick didn't want her to know that he had lost his last girlfriend to Justin Timberlake.
Megan decided that if he wanted her to know he would tell her, so she didn't push it any further. "OK... I'm gonna go to the bathroom, I'll be right back."
"OK." Nick smiled sweetly at her, glad that she hadn't pressed him for answers.
Megan walked out of the woman's bathroom and right into someone. "Ooops. I'm sorry."
"It's OK. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," A male voice said from above her. She looked up at him and was once again almost blinded by the blondness.
"How about I make it up to you? Can I buy you a drink?"
"No thanks. I have one."
"OK...." Justin thought for a minute. "Can I have this dance?"
Megan stood on her tip toes and looked over the young mans shoulder. She could see Nick scanning the crowd for her. "No. I promised someone else the next dance."
"Will you save me one?"
"I don't think so..." "Why not?" He advanced on her a little and she took a few small steps back.
"Because I am here with someone else, I don't know you and just because I accidently ran into doesn't give you the right to hit on me."
"I think you know who I am...." Justin said with a sly smile advancing on her again, this time cornering her and putting his arms up on either side of her.
"You're right. I do know who you are... but that doesn't change the fact that I'm here with someone else. Good bye." She ducked under his arm and walked towards the table where Nick was once again scanning the crowd for her. "Hey, sorry I took so long."
Nick turned at the sound of her voice. "It's OK. I was just about to go get Muzic and get her to go make sure you were OK."
"Yeah I'm fine." She smiled at him, and glanced over at the dance floor. AJ and Muzic were one again tearing it up. "Wow, look at those two go..."
Nick turned to see what she was looking at and laughed when he saw his friend dancing. "I prefer slow songs." He said turning back to her. As if on cue the music changed to a slow song. Megan couldn't help but laugh. "May I?" Nick asked, holding his hand out to her.
"Hmmm let me think about that one...." She pretended to think and before she could answer Nick grabbed her hand and lead her out to the dance floor.
Once they reached an open space, Nick put his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. She was still laughing from before and giggle a little as she put her arms around his neck, her head leaning on his chest. She calmed down and let 'Angel of Mine' fill her mind. She didn't even notice that she was humming along with it until the song was over.
"You have a very nice voice." Nick said.
"Was I humming?" Nick nodded. "Ooops..." She said with a small smile.
"Ooops? I already heard you sing that fabulous song...What was it again?"
Megan laughed. They kept dancing. Then the song ‘OPP' by Naughty By Nature came on. Suddenly Naughty By Nature came running on the stage. "Do ya'll know this song? Then sing with us!" K-ci and Muzic did their Break Dance together, taking turns. Then the chorus came.
"You down wit OPP?"
"Yeah you know me"they said
"You down wit OPP?"
"Yea you know me"
"Who do down wit OPP?"
"Every last Homie" Everybody laughed as the music continues. Muzic signaled to K-ci that I was going to rest. Muzic sat down seeing Naughty By Nature perform. Suddenly someone tapped her. She turned around and saw JC. "May I help you" Muzic asked
"Yes. How about the next dance?"he flirted
"No. I'm sorry I'm here with someone" I turned away
"Just one dance. Please?"
"I'm sorry I can't...I'm not that kind of person"
"What kind?"
"Please don't make this conversation complicated"
"What about if I buy you a drink?"
"No thank you I'm not thirsty"
Muzic got up but he immediately grabbed her hand "Can you please let go!"Muzic demanded . Then the song ‘I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston came on and she got out of his grip. She ran off then stopped.
AJ hugged Muzic from her back which made her jump. She turned around and smiled. AJ grinned, "May I have this next dance?" "You may," Muzic answered. AJ pulled her closer to him. She rested on his shoulder and the song lasted..........
