Chapter Two

Sarah's alarm buzzed loudly at exactly 7:00 AM. She realized that she had only received three hours of sleep because the case had kept her up all night. Thinking about the day ahead of her totally woke her up. Sarah climbed out of bed and changed into a black knee length skirt and 3/4 sleeved red v-neck.

She walked into the bathroom and quickly brushed and styled her hair, and then added a bit of make-up. Sarah walked downstairs, fed her dog, grabbed a granola bar, and then headed out the door.

When she arrived at the office, she parked in her usual space, and headed inside. Jeff was the first person to greet her at the door.

"C'mon, c'mon...", he said as he grabbed her arm lightly and lead her to the elevator.

"What is it? Did you find out anything else?"

"No. They made me wait all morning until you got your lazy ass down here." he said with a smirk.

"Ha...",Sarah replied as they stepped into the main board's office.

She took a seat next to Jeff and looked around at her fellow co-workers. They all looked excited, except for Miles Ruins, who was the biggest ass you'll ever meet. Finally, the head of the USA FBI stood up and watched as everyone became silent.

"Thank you everyone for arriving on time.", said Peter Grumble, who was officially in charge of the nationwide FBI agencies. Everyone nodded at Peter in their way of saying "you're welcome" and then waited for him to continue. "Right now we have a serial killer on our hands."

"Duh...How long did it take you to figure out?", Sarah thought.

"He has one motive...and he's not going to stop until he gets what he wants.", Peter said as he walked around the room," The only problem is that we don't know his motive yet."

Sarah glanced around as everyone had a look of interest on their face, even Miles had a....2% look of excitement.

"Very early this morning, Agent Walsh, figured out a major key in this case. This killer isn't just going out and picking people...he knows what to go after. Now I'm going to let Agent Walsh explain to you a few things.", he said sitting down.

Sarah stood up and sighed, she hated talking in front of large groups of people.

"Well last night after hard hours of thought... I finally decided to try arranging them by age. If you placed the first letters of each woman's name from oldest to youngest, it would spell out Backstreet Boy. Now yes...I know it's Backstreet Boys, well that's the thing. He's not done yet. There's one more victim to go...and one more to complete the phrase.", Sarah finished and sat down in her seat.

Peter stood back up and slicked his gray hair back with his hand.

"We need to find the girl before he does..", Peter continued, "So therefore we're signing Sarah Walsh to go undercover as the Backstreet Boys' dancer."

"Dancer?! I can't dance!", she thought.

"She'll investigate secretly...trying to figure out who may be the next victim. We have evidence to believe that the final victim will be linked to them. Jeff and I have already discussed this with the head of Jive Recording Company and they're willing to sign Sarah as a dancer and also keep everything under secrecy. The killer could also be connected to the group."

Peter said a few more things and then Jeff did also. Soon the meeting was over and Sarah went straight to Jeff.

"So...I get to go undercover???", she asked excitedly.

"Yep. You better not disappoint me Walsh.."

"Oh I won't..", she replied, "But one thing.."

"Yes?", asked Jeff.

"I can't dance...."

"Don't worry. You can take some lessons.", he said chucking lightly.

-1 week later-

"Okay Sarah, we've wasted enough time on you learning to dance. It's time for you to start your case.", Jeff said as Sarah sat down in the seat in front of his desk. "We need to get some things straight first though..", he continued, "The groups names are....,"Jeff stopped to put on his glasses and then read his notes, "Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and AJ McLean."

"Alrighty.."

"The choreographer's name is Fatima Robinson and you'll meet the dancers when you arrive."

"When am I leaving?"

"Tomorrow.", Jeff said.

"Ehh...Okay. I gotta jet then. I have packing to do..", she said standing up.

"Oh yeah...good luck.."

"Thanks...", Sarah said as she walked out of the office.
