"No kidding." Came a deep voice from behind her. Joey jumped about 10 feet in the air.
"Kevin! You scared the shit out of me!" She exclaimed.
"Sorry, but AJ told me to come down here and wait for you cause he was running late." Kevin replied apologetically.
"It's ok." Joey said just as AJ came running out the hotel doors.
"Joey!" He cried when he saw her and smiled. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's ok AJ, I haven't been here that long." She replied smiling at him.
He walked over and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek while draping his arm over her shoulders.
"Well I'm going to head back up stairs, see you guys later." Kevin said giving them a little wave before heading back inside the hotel.
"So beautiful lady what are we doing today?" AJ said smiling and pulling Joey closer.
Joey blushed and smiled back at him. "Well I thought we could go for a walk in Central park first, then maybe go get some lunch at the dinner, then just wander around time square for a little while. Then we have to go get dressed a little nicer and I have a surprise for you." Joey said, a twinkle in her eye. AJ smiled and bent down to kiss her.
"AJ, not now." Joey said pushing him back gently.
"Ok, ok, but promise me we'll finish this later." AJ said looking at her intensely.
"I promise." Joey replied smiling.
"Good, now lets get going." He said starting to walk.
Joey wrapped her arm around his waist and rested her head on his shoulder as they walked. AJ smiled to himself and softly rubbed her shoulder up and down. Soon they reached Central Park and began walking through the endless maze of paths in it.
"This is nice." Joey whispered while they were sitting on a bench by some trees.
"Yeah it is." AJ replied playing with a strand of her hair.
" I bet you do this kind of thing with a lot of girls huh?" Joey said softly looking at the ground. AJ lifted her chin with his fingers and looked into her eyes.
"You are the first girl I've ever done anything like this with before." He said running his index finger along her jaw. Joey smiled and moved closer to him. They sat there for a few more moments before walking to a near by dinner for lunch.
"So, what made you decide to be an actress?" AJ asked Joey after the waitress had taken their orders.
"I don't know really, I guess I just wanted to prove to everyone that I could do something special, you know, actually be great at something." Joey said stirring her coffee.
The waitress came back with their food. They ate in silence, all though the whole time Joey was sneaking glances at AJ. They sat and talked for a bit longer after finishing their food. Joey looked down at her watch.
"Shit!" She exclaimed quietly.
"What's wrong?" AJ asked concerned.
"We have to get you back to your hotel and I have to go back to my apartment, we both need to get changed." Joey replied getting up and paying for the food. AJ quickly followed her out of the diner.
"I'll meet you here at 7:30." Joey said to AJ while they were standing outside of his hotel.
"Ok, see you at 7:30." He replied quickly kissing her hand then disappearing into the hotel.
