CLICK! AJ took a picture of us.
“Hey! If you’re going to take a picture of us, you should’ve waited until we were ready! Or at least let us have known you were going to take one.” I said shocked.
“Ok. I’m gonna take one, are you ready?” He asked grinning.
“Hold up a minute, Bone. Ok. Much better!” Replied Nick, as he pulled me close, his arms wrapped around my waist, with me leaning back into him.
CLICK!
“So how many pix have you taken anyways?” I asked suspiciously.
“Only a few...”
“Like how many?”
“Oh, I dunno. I took a couple of us goofing around, and a few of you two in the pool..”
We both blushed immediately. “So you were spying on us, huh, AJ?”
“Hey, I’m not the only one Frack! The others were watching as well!” Everyone started cracking up.
“Guilty as charged!”
We ended up crowding around the tv looking for something to watch. It was Saturday so not much was on regular television. The boys were all getting hungry. They argued on where to go out to eat. They named all kinds of fancy places- places I had never even heard of! Nick turned to me and asked, “Where do you want to go?”
“Honestly?”
“Yeah.”
“I’d actually like to go to McDonald’s..”
“Oh, Nick! Not only do you have a girl with a great personality, and great looks, but she likes McD’s too!!! You better watch out, man. If you two ever split...” said AJ laughing. “I’m just kidding man. So.. McD’s it is! Good choice!” AJ winked and nudged me as he walked to the door.
“Yeah. Me and AJ LOVE McD’s!”
“So do I !”
“Ok, lets move on out then!”
“Yes! I see the Golden Arches!” shouted AJ as we drew near McDonald’s.
'Man! And I thought I was obsessed with this place! Well, those magazines didn’t exaggerate at all when they talked about how much he loved coming here!'
“Yeah, I’ll have a number 6: A double quarter pounder with cheese, Large coke, Large fries, and Ice Tea ~ No lemon.”
“I’ll have a Big Mac, large fries, and Coke,” said Nick.
“I want a #2- oh wait. I think it’s a #10 now. Yeah, it is. Ok, I’ll have a #10, and a Medium Dr.Pepper.” I told the lady.
Kevin ordered an Arch Deluxe, and fries with a sprite, while Howie got some kind of chicken sandwich and like AJ, an ice tea. Brian also got a Big Mac, and some fries, and instead of a drink he ordered an M&M McFlurry.
We took a seat at a booth, somewhat close to the back.
“So when do you have to be back at your house?” asked Kevin.
“Well actually, tomorrow’s Sunday and the youth choir I’m in at my church have to sing.. so I guess I need to be there for that.”
“Where do you attend church?” asked Brian.
“Independence Christian,” I told him.
“Really? Well, would you mind if we came along? I mean.. I try to go as much as I possibly can, and since we’re heading in that direction, we might as well drop in for the service, is that ok with you?”
“Sure! Oh, man! My cousin’s gonna freak! So is my sister, if she comes.”
“You’ve got a sister?” asked AJ seeming instantly interested.
“Yeah. But, sorry AJ. She’s only 12.”
“Oh shucks!”
“So you don’t mind us coming?”
“No! And you can hear us sing-” I stopped. “Oh gosh! I don’t want you to hear us sing!”
“Why not?” asked Nick.
“Because.. and plus 3 of the other girls in it are in love with you guys too.. and they’ll stop singing!”
“Sounds like someone’s a little nervous about letting us hear her..” replied Nick jokingly.
“Well I mean, so what if I am?! You guys have great voices! Me, Erin, Caitlin, Candra, Mallory, Constance, and sometimes Jeremy.. we just sing to praise the Lord and for fun.. you guys are professionals!”
Brian responded with, “So what if we’re pros? It shouldn’t affect the way you sing.”
“It won’t bother me. It’ll actually be comforting to see you fellas in the congregation. But the others- they’ll just freeze up. I know it!”
“How do you know for sure?”
“Because Nick! I would have done the same thing if I hadn’t met you yet. I’d just stand there dumbfounded.”
“Oh, like you did when I came over to you after the concert?”
“Exactly!” I said laughing, “You noticed huh?”
“It was kind of hard not to!”
“Well, I was shocked! I still am! I can’t believe I’m actually sitting at McDonald’s talking to the Backstreet Boys! I mean seriously!”
“You better get used to it,” Howie said, “Because I have a feeling Nicky here is going to keep you around for awhile!”
“You got it, D!” said Nick, pulling me close. They finally conned me into letting them come and watch us sing.
“You better not laugh!”
“We won’t.”
“Promise!”
“So what songs have you sung?” asked Nick out of curiosity, “Any BSB songs?”
“Actually..yeah!”
“Are you serious! What’d you sing?” They all wanted to know.
“Well- on Mother’s Day, Erin and I thought it would be cute to sing “The Perfect Fan” and dedicate it to all the moms.”
“And did you?” AJ asked.
“Yep! Everyone loved it! And after it was over, we passed out roses to our mom’s and grandmother’s. There wasn’t a single dry eye in there!” I stated laughing at the memory.
“I told you that song would be a hit!” Brian exclaimed pointing to Howie.
When we got back to the resort, I packed the few things I had of mine there and the fellas got a couple of nice outfits out of the closets. We left soon after.
The Backstreet Boys~ taking me home, then coming to church with me! This keeps getting better and better!
