“WOW!!!! I’ll be at the concert in 6 hours!!!! It’s gonna be so much fun! I can’t wait to see what Nick and the rest of the guys are gonna look like!!!! ... I think I’ll wear my BSB shirt and my khaki shorts. Oh and I’ll write BSB and I LUV NICK all up and down my arms..!”
“Ok, Mandy! I get the point! You’ll be out having a great time while I’m at home sitting in front of the tv; wishing I was there. Gosh. You don’t need to be going on and on rubbing it into my face!”
“Nikki, I didn’t mean to-”
“Whatever.” She got up and sat in a seat. The furthest one she could find. On the complete opposite side of the room.
Mandy! What are you thinking!' I had forgotten all about the fact of her not going.
Nikki didn’t speak to me the whole class. Not even a note! And we always write at least two!
Later in the hallway, I stopped and said “hi” to Nikki, and smiled. She didn’t respond. Instead she brushed me off by quickly walking away not saying a word. She was ignoring me~ BIG TIME!
I was tired of being put in a bad mood from this situation, so I thought about better things. Like how the concert would be. Man, I could only begin to imagine! Already I was feeling better and more and more excited. Only 3 hrs to go!' I thought counting down, Only 3!
Immediately after pulling into the garage, I dashed inside and jumped in the shower and got all washed up.
After I had finished that, I got dressed, and began to work on my make up. A little bit of foundation here and there, powder, some yummy lip gloss, and a sprinkle of glitter on my eyelids. I’m talken the whole enchelada!
Then came the hair. I went ahead and curled it. As always, I changed my mind about how I thought it looked. A second ago I would’ve told you I thought it was really cute, but now I was having second thoughts. So.. I tried different styles out.
I finally gave up; unsatisfied with each attempt made. I went ahead and just threw it up in a pony tail like I said I probably would in the first place. Not Bad.
Okay.. bring on the hands! I ran over to Amy (my next door neighbor) to help me write stuff with eyeliner about my men on my arms.
I was ready and set to leave! I looked at the clock. Only 2 1/2 hours before the concert started!
The concert is supposed to begin at 8:00... so I’ll probably leave here a little early. Since I still managed to have some extra time, I gave Erin a call.
She answered on the first ring~~ that was a first.
“Hey girl!? Wassup?!”
“Not much Mandy... Don’t you have a concert to be going to though?”
“Yeah, but it doesn’t start for like a couple of hours. I just so happened to get completely done, with time left to spare, so I thought I’d give ya a shout.”
“Oh.”
That’s all she said. She was being extremely quiet; which was VERY odd!
“The concert is gonna be awesome!” I told her, hoping to get a conversation going. Boy did it ever!
“Mandy! Do you mind?! I mean, I’m happy and all for you, but geez!”
CLICK. I was listening to a dial tone. She had hung up on me.
Great going Mandy! Now you’ve got two of your best buds mad at you! Nice job! You’re on a roll tonight!
I glanced at my watch, hoping time had flown by. 5:45 Not even close. Oh well... a nice long drive with quietness will be good for you!
I cleared my head once I stepped outside and felt the nice atmosphere. The breeze was great. I walked to Amy’s again. She also had been ready for sometime.
She asked me if I was ready to leave. When I told her I was, she offered me a ride, and I gladly accepted. We hopped in her jeep, stuck in Backstreet’s Millennium cd, and turned the volume up, crankin the speakers and bass.
“Larger Than Life” came on with a thud and we cruised along jamming.
I was no longer worried about Erin and Nikki. Afterall, this was my night. And I was going to enjoy it~!
In no time at all we pulled up to the Firstar Center where the concert was being held.
“We’re here!”
