He looked down to see that something was Megan. She was snuggled up to him as close as possible and she was still about ready to fall off of the chair. He scooted back as far as he could against the seat and pulled her closer to him. Then he closed his eyes again and fell back to sleep.
As soon as Nick was asleep again Brian and Kevin were back with the camera. They had taped the whole thing.
They had to try really hard not to laugh as they watched the two change positions, from sitting up and leaning on each other to being spread out on all five of the seats with Nick holding on to Meg like there was no tomorrow.
They also helped the two with the arm rests, moving them so that they sleepers wouldn’t hurt themselves. Or worse, wake up and catch Kevin with the camera in his hand.
"We’re gonna have to give them this as a wedding gift! That would be really funny!" Brian was planning.
"Brian calm down! They wont even admit that they like each other, well at least not to each other. But I have to admit that would be pretty funny to see the looks on their faces when they watched it. Priceless!
The two of them, being Brian and Kevin, got bored of taping Nick and Meg because they weren’t moving or talking in their sleep. So they went to go find someone else to torment with the camera.
"Get that thing out of my face, Brian!" Howie said, irritated. He was trying to sleep but Brian keep poking the camera around him.
"Awww You’re no fun, Howie." Brian walked away. He found Aaron asleep in a chair all by himself.
Brian turned the camera just in time to capture this on film: "No, no! Get away from me! You have girl cooties! Get away!!!" The little boy was thrashing around and mumbling in his sleep. Brian turned off the cam-corder and decided to wake AC up from his nightmare.
"Aaron! Aaron, wake up. Wake up, Aaron!" Aaron opened his eyes and looked at Brian. "You were having a bad dream." He smiled at the kid.
"Thanks Bri!"
"No problem!" Grinning, Brian walked away.
"Hey, Bri!" Brian whipped around at the sound of that voice. In doing so her came face to face with a girl with blond hair and green eyes. Oh no! What is she doing here on this plane? This isn’t good. Brian thought to himself.
"Hi, Janice." Damn it I thought she had understood when Nick explained that he didn’t like her.
"Where’s Nick?"
"I don’t mean to be rude. Oh, Hell! Yes, I do. What the hell are you doing on this plane?"
She was such a hypocrite.
She went to school with them and she use to tease Nick for going to auditions all the time and getting out of class all the time. Meg used to tell the older girl to shut up and leave them alone.
You see she would also tease BJ and Meg because they hung out with Nick. But as soon word got out about the group being successful in Europe she changed her tune and hung all over Nick.
It made them all sick, especially Meg, Nick and Brain. But Meg and Janice hadn’t seen each other in a while.
"Are you trying to tell me that I can’t go to Europe if I want to?"
"No. It just seems a little more than coincidental that you are on the same flight as us."
"So Nick is on the plane! I knew it!!!"
"No kidding! No Janice, we left Nick back home. It’s just Howie, Kevin, AJ, and I." He said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Ha, Brian. Your not funny. Now where is my boyfriend."
"First of all, he’s not your boyfriend. Second, I’m not telling you."
"Whatever, Brian." Janice pushed passed Brian and searched all of the seats, with Brian close behind her, until she found what she was looking for.
Well, not exactly, she found who she was looking for but she didn’t like the way that he looked. He was still sleeping with Meg and they were still cuddled up to each other.
"Who is THAT?!" she couldn’t believe her eyes, her Nick was sleeping next to someone else. Not that they had ever cuddled like that.
They hadn’t even hugged. Hell he hadn’t even touched her.
"Do you remember Megan Bradford?"
"You mean that little bitch that use to hang out with that loser BJ and her brother."
"Her brother is Nick and both of those girls are like my little sisters so I’d watch your mouth if I were you Janice." AJ had come up behind her and heard what she had said.
"Oh, shut up AJ. So what about Megan?"
"When was the last time you saw her?"
"Two years ago when…." She didn’t want to bring that up.
"When you called her a bitch and then slapped her. I remember that. You are such a bitch, Janice. Well, do you remember what happened after that?" AJ started.
"You thought that bitching out his best friend would make him like you. Well, once again you were wrong. He ran after her when she walked away and went inside." Brian added.
"Yeah, then the rest of you all stood there and watched BJ bitch me out. I know it all."
"Yeah? Well, I bet you never knew this. When we came inside we found Nick and Megan sitting on the couch, hugging, He was rocking back and forth trying to get her to calm down. He was telling her that he had never liked you and never would like you. He told her that he liked girls with hearts." Brian told her.
"He was fifteen. I can’t believe you slapped a fourteen year old. That was pretty low even for you Janice." AJ put in.
"Whatever. She deserved it. Now anyway, what does any of this have to do with who that girl is?"
"Think about it Janice. Who have we been talking about?" Brian was trying to get the message through her thick head.
"That sure as hell isn’t his sister." AJ added
"No, it can't be! That isn’t Megan. Is it?"
"YUP. He doesn’t like you! He likes her." Brian totally forgot about trying to nice to her. Oh wait a second, he wasn’t trying to be nice to her.
"Well, are they going out?"
Brian and AJ looked at each other. "Yes." They said at the same time.
Janice just pushed AJ out of her way and stocked off. "I guess she finally gets the picture." AJ said trying not to laugh.
"I sure hope so. She creeps me out." Brian said with a shiver.
"Who creeps you out?" Kevin came up behind the two guys.
"Janice Janckens."
"What?!? Where is she?!? Hide me!" Kevin ducked behind Brian.
He didn’t like her either. None of them did. But they made there job to make sure that she stayed away from Megan.
Janice had always hated Megan, but ever since Nick had joined the group she had a whole new reserve of hatred and hostility towards the younger girl.
They all thought it was because she thought that Megan was the one that was telling Nick not to like her. She couldn’t quite grasp the idea that he didn’t need anyone to tell him not to like her
"She is on the plane. She came up behind me and asked where Nick was. I wouldn’t tell her so she pushed me aside and looked through all the rows until she found Nick…..and Megan." Brian started
"Oh, she was pissed to see Nick with Meg but she didn’t know who she was. We explained and she nearly threw a shit fit!" AJ said with a laugh.
