Everyone (Megan, Kaytee, Shayne, BJ, Brian, Nick, Leslie, Aaron and Angel) is in Nick's room and the boys were playing N64.

"So what are we doing today?" Nick asks, it is Saturday morning so they don't have school.

"I want to go to Disney!!!!" Aaron exclaims. Everyone in the room cracks up. "Anybody have a better idea?" he says when he figures out that they are laughing at him.

"Nope!" Megan said. "Actually I kinda want to go to Disney too. I haven't been there in a while."

"Kaytee, have you ever been to Disney?" Nick was playing N64 with Aaron and Brian.

"Nope, this is the first time I've been to Florida."

"Well, then it is our duty to take you!"

"OK, everyone be ready in twenty minutes. We can take the van." Megan directed.

She got a big. "Yes Ma'am, Sir!" from everyone. They all got ready to go.

Twenty minutes later they were sitting in the van. 'Big Brother Bri' was driving, 'cause no one wanted Nick too. Kaytee sat up front with him.

Aaron and Angel sat in the first row. Leslie sat behind them and BJ and Shayne sat behind her. Nick and Megan sat in the back (again). Brian turned on the radio and started talking to Kaytee. Leslie was playing with the twins and BJ was talking to Shayne.

"Nick, I need to talk to you."

"What about?"

"The welcome home party."

"What about it?"

"Um....nothing, never mind I'll tell you later, K?"

"OK. So what do you think about Bri and Kaytee?"

"I think they like each other. It is too bad that she has to leave, she was having a really good time here. BJ and Shayne seem to like each other a lot, too! I think they finally understand why I love it down here.

"This is where my real family is. Even my dad is distant when I'm up there. You guys are the closest thing I have to a family. Kaytee and Shayne are my family when I'm up there. I spend almost as much time over at their house as I do with you, here."

They didn't say anything the rest of the trip in the car. But Meg had her head rested on his shoulder and was almost asleep by the time Brian pulled into the Disney parking lot.

They all piled out and had a great day (not gonna go into details). Aaron draged them onto most of the rides and they went all over the park. They had a blast!!!!

They were all dead tired by the time they got home that night around 8:00.

Brian didn't want to drive anymore so he spent the night.

When the guys had said goodnight to the girls and they went to bed, Nick, Shayne, and Brian stayed up and talked. Aaron was asleep. "So, you like my sister?" Shayne asked Brian.

"Yeah, I do. She's sweet and caring and I like her a lot."

"That’s cool. But even though I'm younger it is still my duty to look out for her. Just doin' my job."

"I know how you feel. You like my sister?" Nick asked Shayne.

"Yeah, she is really nice and she seems really cool."

"That's good because you pull anything and I'll beat the crap out of ya!" Nick said with a laugh.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"And you, Buster, like my little sister." Brian said to Nick.

"Bri, you don't have a little sister."

"My adoptive lil' sis. Hello! Meg!!!"

"Oh, Meg. She's like my little sister, too."

"Oh come on admit it you like, like her."

"Hey, man even I could tell and I've only been around here for two weeks." Shayne put in.

"Fine, I like her, but she thinks of me as an older brother. She's also one of my best friends. Do you have any idea what going out with her would do to our friendship?"

"Yeah, in your guys' case, it would make it stronger. You two have been through so much together, and she has spent more time talking to you on the phone than she probably spent talking to her friends in town." Brian said.

"He's right. If there is anything wrong while she's back home, she always runs for the phone. Even when it's closer to run over to our house, right next door, she'll run to the phone and call you. I would hate to have to pay that phone bill, that's all I can say!" Shayne informed him.

"Kaytee told me that when Meg gets back from Florida all she hears for a month is ' 'Nick this and Nick that' ."

"He's telling the truth! I have heard more about what you have done on your summer vacations for the past five years then I care to know. She doesn't shut up! Frankly, I was sick of you before I even met you, she talks about you so much. The first time I had to restrane myself from punching you."

Shayne said. They all laughed. "She likes you a lot, man!"

"Really? You think so?"

"YES!!!" The two others said, making sure that they didn't wake Aaron.

Meanwhile….

In the other room the girls were having a talk of their own…

"So, BJ, you like my brother?" Kaytee asked.

"Yeah, he’s pretty cool. He is really nice."

"Yeah, well try being related to him for a month, and see how nice he is."

"Hey, Kaytee, you like, my brother?" Megan asked.

"You don’t have a brother, Meg!"

"I think she means Brian, Kaytee." BJ said, glad that she was no longer the topic of their conversation.

"Oh, yeah, well what’s not to like? He’s funny, cute, sweet, cute, active, cute, and I like him a lot, and did I mention he’s cute?" They all laughed.

"And you, buster, like my brother!" BJ said pointing at Megan.

"Who Aaron? Nah, we’re just friends." Megan said, joking.

"No, Nick! Ya know, the big, tall, dumb one."

"Oh, yeah I know him, I think. Yeah I’m pretty sure I do. Know him I mean. He’s a friend."

"C’mon admit it, Meg. You like him as more than a friend."

"No! I dont like him like that. I think of him as am older brother, nothing more, nothing less. Plus he’s one of my best friends, you know what going out with him would do to our friendship?

"Yeah, with you two it would make it stronger."

"I dont think so!"

"I do think so. You should hear him when you aren’t here. He always talks about how much he misses having you around and how he wishes you could be here all the time. I want to strangle him. And he was really excited when he found out that you were spending the six months with us. I almost did strangle him." BJ said.

"Really?"

"Yes!!!" BJ yelled.

"OK, I get the point!" This wasn’t good and Megan knew it.

The guys heard BJ yell and walked down the hall. Nick knocked on the door and entered when he was told he could (what a considerate big brother). "Hey girls, Aaron’s sleeping. What was the yelling all about?"

"Nothing", they all answered at once.

"NO, BJ yelled yes. Yes what, BJ?"

"Um… we were talking about… um…. How much guys eat. Kaytee didn’t believe us when we said that you could eat a whole large pizza by yourself." BJ said trying to cover for them all.

"Yeah, sure. We’re bored. Wanna do something?"

"Sure, but we can’t go anywhere, we have to watch the twins. How about we make lots and lots of popcorn and watch a movie?" Meg suggested. Everyone agreed. They went downstairs, and the girls made the popcorn while the guys argued over which movie we were going to watch. The girls laughed at how immature they were acting. "Nick hasn’t grown, maturity wise since he was 14, has he BJ?" Meg asked.

"Nope, and I don’t think that will be changing any time soon. Brian is almost as bad. I think he’s spent too much time around Nick."

"He’s the one that got Nick hooked on video games." They all laughed.

"Some thing funny, ladies?" It was Shayne.

"Yeah, you guys and how immature you’re acting." Megan retorted.

"Us? Immature? That’s a good one, Mega…"

"Mega…. what? Huh? C’mon, finish your sentence." Megan teased. Shayne had called Megan Mega for a long time, but this was the first time he had said it since they had been in Florida. He glared at her. She managed to hold back her laughter.

"Shut up and get your butts in here, we’re gonna watch a chick flick, Brian picked it out. ‘Sleepless In Seattle’."

"You shut up! And don’t make fun of Brian! He’s a nice guy!", she punched him in the arm. "You get your butt in here and help us with this mountain of popcorn. NICK!!!! Get in here and get some drinks."

Nick came in the kitchen and gave Megan dirty look. "The twins and Leslie are asleep, and I would like them to stay that way!" She gave him a pained look.

Why was he mad at her, she hadn’t yelled that loud.

"Sorry" then under her breath, "What the hell is your problem?" She walked past him. She sat down on the couch and starred at the blank TV screen. She didn’t notice when everyone else came in the room and sat down until someone came and sat on her lap.

"Can I sit here?" It was Nick. She rolled her eyes at him and pushed him off. He landed on the floor with a thud.

"I’d take that as a ‘No’, if I were you, Frack" Brian told his friend.

Nick got up and sat down next to her. She scooted away from him. "What’s wrong?" She just gave him the evil eye, something that she was really good at.

So good that all the boys in her fifth grade class were afraid of her when she looked at them like that. "I’m sorry I snapped at you, but I really don’t want to have to deal with them right now. I want to spend some time with you."

She looked at him. What had he just said? He wants to spend time with me? I need to talk to him about what Aaron told me. "Nick I need to talk to you about something, and we need to do it privately." She whispered to him.

"I need to talk to you, too. Wanna go for a walk?" She nodded. "Guys, we’re going to go on a walk, we’ll be back in a little while."

They got up and went out the back door.

They lived very close to the beach, so they headed in that direction. They were quiet all the way there. Nick was looking at Megan, and she didn’t seem to mind when he slipped his hand into hers.

When they reached the beach they walked until they came to their favorite place, a ledge that overlooked the ocean.

Nick sat down on a rock and motioned for her to sit. She sat on the ground.

"What are you doing down there? Come here." He pulled her up on the rock next to him. She was practically sitting in his lap.

"What is going on?" Megan looked confused at his question. He was looking at her. Why do I feel this way, she’s my best friend? What am I doing?

"What do you mean?" she knew exactly what he was talking about.

"Well, are we OK? Are you mad at me?" he looked sad at the thought that she was mad at him. She looked into his blue eyes and smiled. She gave him a huge hug.

"Of course not, why would I be mad at you?"

"For getting mad at you earlier. I didn’t mean to snap at you, I just really didn’t want to end up having them downstairs with us. Brian and Kaytee need as much undisturbed time with each other as possible if they’re gonna fall in love. BJ and Shayne could use some time to get to know each other."

"Well, the only one that needs to fall in love is Brian, ‘cause Kaytee is already there."

"How do you know? Did she tell you?"

"No, I can totally tell, when she described him this is what she said, ‘ He’s funny, cute, sweet, cute, active, cute, and I like him a lot, and did I mention that he’s cute?’ Those were her exact words."

"That’s good to know, ‘cause Bri likes her a lot too. He is going to be heart broken when she has to leave."

"Well, he won’t be heartbroken of long."

"Why do you say that? Is something going on that I don’t know about?"

"Well, it’s a secret but I guess I trust you enough. Kaytee and Shayne might move down here. They have fallen in love with this place, .................among other things."

"You mean Shayne? BJ? Whoa! So that’s what he meant by he’d keep that in mind."

"He’d keep what in mind?"

"I told him that if he hurt BJ I would kick the crap out of him."

"You say that to all her boyfriends. She’s just lucky she has you and the guys around all the time to back up your threats. Shayne does his best, but he’s not even a year older than me, so although he does give some protection, I wish that you were always around to help. But there’s nothing that will make that happen, so I guess I’m on my own."

"She is lucky to have you as an older brother, and have you around all the time. She may not think she is but I know what it’s like not to have someone to lean on, and it hurts sometimes."

"Well, it’s not gonna be that way in a while, especially if our single takes off here in the states."

Their conversation was interrupted when BJ ran up to them. "Meg, I have some really bad news." She looked at her with fear in her eyes. "Meg, it’s your mom………
