Prologue: The History

Meg had no idea why she was so nervous. This was like any other time she came down to Florida and got off the plane at the Orlando International Airport. The only thing that had changed was that two million girls in Europe would kill to be in her position right now.

Megan Bradford had known Nick Carter since she was five and he was six.

When she was three her parents divorced and when she was four her mom moved to the Tampa Bay area, Ruskin to be more specific. She just happened to move in next door to the Carter Clan, that at the time was made up of Jane and Bob Carter, Nick, his four year old sister, Bobbie Jean, or BJ as everyone calls her, and their brand new little sister Leslie. Megan and BJ became fast friends and with time, so did Megan and Nick.

Megan spends six months with her dad and six months with the Carters, well that what it seemed like. She would leave school in Portland and finish the last three months with BJ and Nick. They always picked her up at the airport because her mom was always too busy, and she always spent that first night at their house. It was tradition; they were her second family. And since they spent so much time with each other they acted like family.

When the Carter children found out that they were going to have twin siblings Megan was also told. Although she was at her dads when the twins were born she was the first person they called, informing her that the twins were healthy and that there was a boy and a girl. They also asked for suggestions for names. Megan named Aaron and Angel.

She felt closer to Jane Carter then her own mother and often went to her with problems. Bob Carter was her male influence while she was in Florida. To her they were like Mama Bear and Papa Bear. The younger children, Leslie and the twins had never had a summer without their "other" sister. And like he is with all of his younger siblings, Nick is very protective of her.

Nothing has changed. Nick hasn't changed! She had to keep reminding herself of this as she walked up the terminal. Once in the airport she automatically started looking for a tall blond with a group of guys along with a couple of girls.

Nick and his siblings had long since taken on the responsibility of picking her up and dropping her off at the airport. In fact ever since he started singing with the Backstreet Boys, he and his band mates have always been there to pick her up. Before that he had always come along when his parents would pick her up.

Now, what caught her eye wasn't a group, but a kinda short, dirty blond, who she knew had sparkling blue eyes, standing alone. Even with his back to her she recognised him.
