In Memory Of Tina Foster

I found out about this at Whodaman Inc. But this is not their story, it is one of two girls named Bianca and Whitney.

Bianca and Whitney went to the BSB concert in Charlotte NC on January 26 and met a girl by the name of Tina Foster while waiting in line to get into the show. They talked to her and found out that Tina worked just a little down the road from where one of them went to school. Once again the Backstreet Boys had given her another friend. They decided to keep in touch.

They never got to develope a long lasting friendship. Bianca and Whitney went on the road to see the Boys in other cities and Tina went back home. The following Sunday night Bianca was watching TV and the news came on. There was a picture of a girl that looked like Tina. Her worst fears were proven right only moments later... Tina had been killed three days after the two girls had met her while going home after work. And not just killed, murdered.

You may be asking why I am telling you about this tragedy. I’m telling you because you need to know. One of our own is gone, that is one less Backstreet Fan in the world. There are thousands of us, millions even, all around the world, but Tina Foster is no longer there to wait in the freezing cold for tickets, or scream at the top of her lugs at a concert, or do the simplest thing a fan can do, simply slip her Black and Blue CD into the CD player and listen.

I’m telling you this because I don’t know about you, but the five young men that I write about in my stories have touched me in a way that I can’t explain. They have inspired me to write and find something that I am good at. They have given me so many friends that I wouldn’t have with out them, both in my home town and on the internet. They have given me all of you, and I think of anyone who reads my stories as a friend. Without them I wouldn’t be talking to any of you right now.

What happened to Tina has nothing to do with the Boys. But when it happened did. She got to see them in concert three days before she died. She needed to see that concert, and she may have even needed to meet the Whodaman Sister. I’m not sure why, maybe even just to keep her memory alive, and the Backstreet Pride roaring. Whatever the reason, Tina, may she rest in peace, thank you.

Because of what has happened in the last month I ask you all one thing. Don’t take the people who you meet at these concerts for granted. They may be the best friends that you never get to know. Don’t push and shove and get mad at each other, because you never know... the person you are pushing may have their picture on the news later that week. If you haven’t gone to the Black and Blue show yet and you have tickets, try to make at least one new friend at the concert, and keep in touch with that friend. Say hi to the person sitting next to you, in memory of Tina Foster.

I would like to say thank you to the Boys for all of the friends that you have given me and all the laughs that my friends and I have shared because of you. Thank you to all of you who read my stories, I love each and every one of you. You have let me share my stories with you and that is very important to me.

Nick Carter said recently that Backstreet fans are the strongest there are, and I along with the girls from Whodaman, agree with him. Thank you Nick, along with the rest of the guys, for bringing so many great people into my life. And thank you to everyone who has helped make these Boys an important part of so many peoples lives, including Tina’s.
