Chapter 19

"Hey!" I heard AJ's sexy voice whisper in my ear as he wrapped his arms
around my waist and kissed my neck.

I turned to meet him and wrapped my rans
around his neck. We started to kiss which kind of turned into a mini make
out session on Jess's locker. We hadn't even been going out for 24 hours so
the new couple thing hadn't worn off. Every time we say each other we wanted
to rip each other's clothes off.

"Off my locker," Jess demanded as she shoved us to the side. I laughed
which sort of ended AJ and my's kiss.

"Sorry," I said sarcastically.

"My locker is not a breeding area for your passionate love!" Jess said with
a big grin on her face. She was such a cheese ball. I turned to her with AJ
still wrapped around me.

"So I take it paradise is fine?" she asked. I nodded and AJ kissed my neck
again.

"Ok, that was self-explanatory!" she laughed.

"Aww guys!" Nick complained as he came up to us. He was beet red in the
face and was carrying his gym shorts and t-shirt.

"Sorry Frack." AJ said.

"Do we have to watch you two groping every minute of the day?" he whined.

"No," AJ said as he covered Nick's eyes with his left hand and kissed me.

"Get use to us," I said to Nick as he pulled away from AJ. Jess and Nick
threw their stuff into their lockers and then left. Later that night, AJ and
I were going to head down to the wharf and just hang out and have some free
time alone. I grabbed my coat out of my locker and turned to AJ.

"See you tonight?"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," he said as he gave me one last kiss. I
turned and headed home.

At about seven o'clock that night, AJ came to pick me up.

"Ready," I said with a smile. He grabbed my hand and escorted me out of my
house. We hopped into his car and turned on the cassette he had in his tape
deck.

"New song," he told me as I heard him and the rest of the guys singing "I
Want It That Way"

"Tell me why, ain't nothing but a heart ache

I want it that way"

"Is this going to be on your new album?" I asked AJ.

"Well, we've got "Backstreet's Back" filled with songs already so I think
this will be on our next album," he told me.

"That's awesome!" I said. I really liked the tune of it. It was so upbeat.

We drove down Hasta Boulevard and turned into the wharf.

"Wow, it's full of people!" I said as I looked around and got out. There
were sail boats everywhere. We walked out of the parking lot and down to the
peers. I sat down on the edge of the dock with AJ beside me.

"It's so beautiful here," I said as I looked out at all the sailboats on
the ocean. AJ moved closer to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I
rested my head against him and listened to him breath. I looked up and he
kissed my forehead.

"You know, if someone had told me a year ago that you and I would be going
out someday I wouldn't have ever believed them," AJ told me.

"I know what you mean..." I said as I gazed out at the setting sun.

"E, I have to ask you something, how long have you loved me?"

"Since grade nine," I said.

"Really? I have to confess something them,"

"Ok..." I said. I had no clue what he was going to say.

"Well, last year I really started to like you but I didn't think you liked
me. That's even what all the guys said."

"You trusted the guys?" I asked, "I mean Nick? Do you think he's a reliable
source of information?" I said with a smile.

"No," AJ said laughing.

"But, I guess it wasn't like I listened to myself either. I mean I should
have just told you," I said.

"Oh well, we're together now and that's all that matters."

"I know....can I ask you a question?"

"You can ask me anything," he told me as he looking into my eyes.

"Why did you go out with Ashley?"

"Well, this is going to sound really dumb, but to make you jealous..."

"Really? Well it worked!" I smiled at him.

"I thought you were more mad than anything?"

"No, I was so jealous of her!"

"Really? Well don't be, there's not much to be jealous of...she kisses like
my grandmother."

I laughed at AJ. That was too funny about Ashley considering how much
kissing she had on her dating resume.

"But you on the other hand..." AJ said as he came down for a kiss. "You are
amazing."

"So are you," I told him.

"I love you," AJ said. I smiled and blushed.

"I love you too." I put my head on his shoulder and looked out at the
setting sun. I didn't think my life could get any better. I was with the one
I loved and I felt better than I ever had. I knew that I had finally found
the one I'd dreamed of all my life.
