Chapter 11
"Jessie, get up!" Belle said shaking me as I moaned
in pain.
"I
don't want to!" I whined.
"This is your last day here what are you
talking
about?" She asked as I sighed. I opened my eyes and
looked around
at my packed up room.
"Go away, I have to get dressed," I bluntly
requested.
"Fine, but get dressed to go clubbing!" She said as
I
whined.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because it's your last day
here and I want you to
have fun!" She said shutting my door. I looked at
the clock on the floor; it was 8 at night.
I had taken a nap since I
was bored out
of my mind; there was nothing to do
when you're leaving in
a day.
I got up and looked through my box of clothes,
pulling out my party
clothes. I put on my strapless
black halter-top and black leather pants and
sighed,
they were so tight!
I grabbed my hairbrush out of my jewelry box and
brushed
through my hair. I grabbed A.J.'s cell phone
and my platforms and ran down the
stairs to see
Belle talking to my dad.
"I will miss her so much,"
Belle said as I
plopped down on the couch next to her
slipping on my platforms.
"Ready
to go?" I asked.
"Yep, bye Mr. Olsen!" Belle said as I shut
the door
behind us. "I have the biggest surprise for you! You
will never
guess what it is!" She said as
I hopped into the car.
"Goody,
a surprise," I said unenthusiastically.
"Fine, act unhappy now,
but when
you see it you'll flip!" She said as I drove off.
We got
to the club that Belle
apparently had good contacts with.
"Come on
in," the scary bodyguard said as we
walked in.
"He's my brother's
best friend!" Belle
yelled over the music.
"Whatever!"
I said shrugging. However we
got in was fine with me. "So where is my
surprise?"
I asked.
"It should be here…there it is!" Belle said grabbing me
and taking me over to the bar. I sat
down next to some weird guy with bright
red hair.
"Where is it?" I yelled over to music.
"Right
here," the guy whispered in my ear.
"A.J.!" I yelled hugging
him tight and showering
him with thousands of kisses. "What are you
doing
here?" I asked.
"I had to see you before you left!" He said
as
I kissed him more.
"Well, I'm going to dance, see you
guys
later!" Belle yelled walking off.
"What's up with the hair?"
I asked looking
at the redness of it.
"Like it? I forgot to tell
you!" He said as I smiled bright.
"It could be pink I don't care!"
I said hugging
him again. I couldn't believe he came to see me!
"What
about you missy? I see that
tattoo!" He said pointing to my new tattoo.
"Kyle
told me I could have one for free so I
didn't say no!" I said looking at
my
pretty tattoo. It was the words 'baby.'
"I like it!" He said
kissing me lightly.
"How did you get here? Aren't you supposed to
be
in Madrid or something?" I asked as he
brushed the hair out of my face.
"Well
actually we're in Rome, but I decided to come
see you instead! I couldn't let
you leave
without saying goodbye!" He said as I smiled wide.
"Good!"
I said as I took his hand out to the dance
floor. I danced with him for at least
an hour before
Belle was drunk to death, and A.J. and
I wanted to go somewhere.
"Bell
are you sure you're okay?" I asked as
A.J. helped her onto my bed.
"Yep!
I'm groovy!" She said laughing hard.
"Um…okay! A.J. and I are going
out for a while,
just go to sleep okay? You need it," I
said shutting
the door.
"A.J. nice hair!" My dad said as A.J. grinned.
"Thank
you sir," A.J. said as I giggled.
"What are you doing here?"
He asked.
"Unfinished business at home sir," A.J. said as
he
followed me down the stairs.
"Where did you want to go?" I asked
him as he wrapped
his arms around my waist. I almost forgot
the way he smelled,
the softness of his touch.
"My house," he said as he kissed my neck.
"Why
is that?" I giggled.
"Why else?" He asked as I turned to him.
"Where's
Denise?" I asked.
"I don't know, I don't care, let's
just go,"
he said kissing me.
"Okay A.J., your hormones are taking
control
of your brain," I giggled as we got into the car.
When we got to his
house, A.J.
basically drug me to his room.
"A.J.?" I whispered
as he kissed down my neck.
"Hmm?"
"Can you see if Denise
is here?" I whispered
as he stopped and looked at me.
"Now baby?"
He whined.
"I don't want her coming in here A.J.!" I said as he
sighed and got up to go look around. I looked around
his room at the nightstand
that was empty,
the dresser left open with empty drawers,
it was kinda scary.
"No
one here!" He said wrapping his arms around me.
"You're so silly!"
I giggled wrapping my arms around
his neck. He slipped his tongue in my mouth
as I let
myself go in his arms. I felt like the only thing
holding me up
was his arms around my waist.
"Oh God I've missed this," A.J. said
pulling his shirt off.
The only light in the room was the outside light post
that
let me see his beautiful face. We both kicked off our
shoes as I pulled
my shirt off. He gently pulled me
down to the bed as our kisses turned more passionate.
"Alex,
Jane told me you were ho…" Denise said as we
realized she was standing in
the doorway.
"Oh my God," she said as I covered my chest in shame.
"Mom
I…" A.J. started to explain.
"Both of you get dressed now, we have
some
talking to do," she said angrily. "I'm calling your father."
"No
please don't do that!" I cried as she
slammed the door. "Oh my God,"
I whispered as
I started to cry.
"Jessie it's okay, we can handle
this right?" He
asked as I put on my shirt.
"I don't think I
can," I said as we both walked out.
"Okay, bye," Denise said
slamming down the phone.
"Sit," she demanded. When she was mad
she
definitely scared me.
"Mom…" A.J. tried to speak.
"Alex
I have nothing to say until Jessica's father gets
here," she said getting
up and slamming her bedroom
door. I covered my face with my hands in
sadness;
I couldn't believe what was happening.
A.J. and I didn't talk, I think if
he said anything it would
have saddened me. My father opened the door
as
I looked up to see his saddened face.
"Johnny?" Denise walked in
as they both sat
down on the couch in front of A.J. and me.
"I've
been thinking of how many signals you two have
given us about you two, you think
we're
stupid don't you?" Denise asked as I shook my head.
"Mom
no one…"
"Shush Alex, let me talk!" She yelled as I looked
at my dad. His head looked down as if he said
anything he'd cry.
"Coming
over late at night, the pictures of you two
on your nightstand, was the zoo part
of it too?" She
asked looking at me. I couldn't talk, I could barely
breathe.
"Answer
me Jessica," she said angrily. My hands were
shaking and my teeth gritting,
I couldn't get
any of the words out.
"I…y…w," was all that came
out.
"It's okay," A.J. said taking my hands.
That's when my
dad lost it.
"You two are disgraceful! Everytime you were on
that
cell phone, it was him wasn't it?" My dad
yelled pointing to A.J.
"You
think I'm a fool don't you? All those shameful
remarks about Denise were false
too probably,
and you don't think that was wrong? Jessica answer
me god dammit!"
He yelled as I cried.
I had never ever been scared of my father except
that
night. "Have you lost your voice?
Or are you just stupid?" My dad said
as A.J. got angry.
"That is definitely no way to talk to her
sir,"
he said getting up in front of my dad.
"I handle my daughter as I want,"
my dad said
as Denise pulled my dad to her.
"Leave Alex alone, you're
daughter started all
this!" Denise said as my body started to shake in
nervousness.
"Jessie?
How about your tattooed
freak son?" My dad yelled.
"What about
your slut daughter?" Denise yelled.
"Your son is the psycho!"
My dad yelled.
"Your daughter is probably the one who started
all
this! She's so god damn smart
she probably entranced my son!"
"It's
his fault!"
"It's her fault!"
"Shut up!" A.J.
yelled as I jumped. I never heard A.J.
yell that loud. "Look, if you really
want to know
what happened, why don't you ask instead of
assuming things?
I mean look at Jessie she's shaking
to death!" A.J. said holding me. I cried
into his shirt as
I felt his fast heartbeat.
"How long have you two
been hiding this?"
Denise asked calmly.
"4 months," he
said, as I knew my dad's
anger was going to grow.
"When did it happen?"
"When
you asked me to take her to her prom."
"Well it's over starting
now. You won't see her
except during our wedding you got that?" My
dad
yelled.
"That won't happen sir, I love her and she loves
me,"
he said as I looked at my dad to see his reaction.
"If I have to lock
her in her room that's what I'll do!
But you two are not to see each other, that's
final!" My dad said grabbing my arm as I cried in pain.
"OW!"
I yelled in pain. I looked at A.J. as he was
yelling at Denise. He looked at
me as I reached
out for him, I felt safe when I was with him,
and I needed
his comfort.
"Jessie I love you!" A.J. said as my
father stopped
walking. He turned to see A.J.
"Don't you ever say that to her again,"
he demanded
as I cried. My dad drug me to his car and sat me
in the passenger's
seat, slamming the passenger's
side door and getting into the driver's side.
I
looked at the front door as A.J. came out with
tears in his eyes. I put
my hand up on the
window as my dad drove away in anger.
The way home I
laid my head down on the
passenger's door and closed my eyes. I kept praying
for all of this to go away, for everything
to go back to the way it was.
"Get
out," my dad said as I looked up. We were
home finally. I opened my door
and walked inside
as my dad stormed up the stairs and slammed
the door. I
ran up to my room and saw Belle
sleeping on my bed, so I sat down on the floor,
crying forever. I felt A.J.'s phone ring in my
pocket as I picked it up as
fast as I could;
hoping my dad didn't hear it.
"Hello?" I whispered.
"Jessie
are you okay? Did he hurt you?"
A.J. asked, as I knew he was crying.
"No
he didn't," I whispered laying down on the floor.
"I'm at a pay
phone, I left as soon as
I could," he said as my tears fell to the ground.
"I'm
so scared A.J.," I whispered
as I heard Belle moving around above me.
"If
anything happens, I'll come
get you okay?" He said as tears flowed.
"I
love you so much A.J.," I cried.
"I love you too, I promise, everything's
going to be okay," he said as I heard Belle wake up.
"I have
to go," I said sitting up as Belle sat
down next to me with sadness for
me in her face.
"I will meet you at the airport
tomorrow okay?"
He asked as tears flowed faster.
"O…okay, bye A.J.," I whispered.
"Bye
baby," he said as I hung up.
"What happened?" She whispered
as she hugged
me. I held onto her as I explained what happened, I
needed
comfort by anyone, Belle was my best friend
and could probably help me.
"Oh
my God, Jessie it's okay! Everything will be
fine," Belle said as I cried
in her arms. That was the
one and only time I hated my father, was scared
of
my father, and was hurt physically by my
father. I will never forget that day
as long as I live…ever.
