Chapter 18
LESLIE CAME HOME…
I came home to the abandoned apartment hoping
Wendy
had come back, and she did for a brief second,
her suitcase was gone. Hmmm…
I
checked the messages…
"Wendy this is your mother, your sister told me
what happened between you and Jon. Give me a call."
"Ash this
is BJ, can't wait for tonight, call me!"
"Wendy this is Jon, call
me." That one I was curious about…
"Les, this is Brian. Please call
me and tell me why you're
so upset. I miss you." I sighed. I knew Brian
had the
right to know why, so I called him up, it was his machine again.
"Brian,
it's Leslie. Um, I know you have the right to know
why I dumped you like that,
so I guess I'll tell you. Brian…
I love you. I do. I love you more than anything
in the world.
Oh God I can't believe I'm telling you this. I guess though it's
better that you know now, and you understand." I hung up the
phone and
went to the kitchen to take some more pills. I noticed I only
had a week worth
left, I called up the doctors and got another month's
worth. That was basically
my night. Nothing to do but think about
what I said to Brian and how much coffee
I drank. I opened the
door and let the cool air come through the apartment as
I sat
down on the couch. I closed my eyes as I let the breeze
go through
my hair.
I heard footsteps as I turned around. "I got your message."
Brian said as
I looked at him. I got up as tears built up in my eyes. We stood
looking
at each other, for what seemed to be forever. "Br…" I started
saying when
he kissed me! Soft at first, then seductively. We both knew it was
wrong, but I definitely wasn't going to stop it! He picked me up
and carried
me to the bedroom as he kissed me. He laid me on the bed
and looked at me as
we breathed heavily. He brushed my cheek and
kissed me again. That night I lost
my virginity to my one
and only love, it was a night I'd never forget…
WHERE
IS WENDY?
I parked at A.J.'s house and sighed as I went up to his door.
"Hey
Wendy what's up?" He asked kissing my cheek and letting me in.
"Jon
called, he wants to work things out. I'm on my way
there," I said. I was
trying to convince A.J. to talk me out of it.
"Wow really? That's…that's
real great. I'm happy for you."
"You don't sound so convincing,"
I said hoping he
would confess his dying love for me.
"I don't? I
am really," he said hugging me.
"It's okay, I believe you. Just
tell Les and Ash where I am
going? No one was home and I want to make sure they
find out."
"Yeah no problem." He said as I opened the door.
I looked at him about to leave when I shut the door.
"A.J., I'm not
going to lie to you," I said as I
kissed him lightly. "I like you,
do you like me?"
