Chapter 20
LESLIE AND BRIAN'S CON.
"BRIAN!" I yelled as he started his
car. I ran over to him.
"Leslie I have to go."
"But
I need to talk to you," I said smiling.
"That was a mistake Leslie,
I shouldn't,
we shouldn't have done that."
"But I thought you
loved me…" I said trailing off as he
shook his head. My smile suddenly turned
into a frown.
"I'm sorry Les, I'm so sorry," Brian said as tears
streamed
down my face.
"Why would you hurt me like that Brian?"
"Why
don't you hate me? Why can't you? I would feel so much better
if you told me
you hated me and never wanted to speak
to me again."
"I want
to Brian, I want to so bad! But you know what?
I can't, because I still love
you. And that can't just go away in
a second." I saw his face for what I
thought would be the last
time as I walked back inside.
ASHLEY AT BJ's…
I
sighed as I knew when Leslie said that, Brian chickened out.
Leslie wouldn't
know that, she's never had a boyfriend and she
didn't understand.
"I
can't believe Brian would do that." I said looking at BJ.
"I can't
believe he would either, he's usually a great guy."
"I feel so sorry
for Les, but you know what? That's her
business, as Nick is mine." Just
as I said it, Nick
opened the front door.
"Nick! Your best friend
slept with Ashley's best friend
and dumped her like trash!" BJ said confusing
everybody.
"Nick, Brian slept with Leslie, and chickened out. He left
Leslie a few minutes ago." I said so he could understand.
"Brian
would never do that! He would never sleep with her
unless he loved her either…"
Nick said as I smiled.
Brian loved her too, I knew it!
"I have to
go upstairs and do some things, you and Ashley talk
huh?" BJ said with a
smirk on her face. She sprinted up the
stairs as Nick sat down.
"What's
up with BJ?" Nick asked puzzled.
"I don't know, mental illness?"
"I
HEARD THAT!" BJ yelled from upstairs. Nick and I
laughed as we sat down
on the couch.
"Think I should talk to Brian?" Nick asked as I took
his hands.
"Not right now, I wanted to talk to you."
"What
about?" He asked. I thought if he got upset, I would kiss
him first to remember
him by. I kissed him passionately.
"What was that for?" Nick said grinning.
"Nick,
I don't know how to say this, so I'm just going to say it.
I love you."
I looked at him to await his reaction;
it definitely wasn't a good one.
"You
what?" He asked standing up, hovering over me. I froze.
"Ash we specifically
said not to do this, why did you ruin it? God!
You are so…so…dumb!" I looked
at him with tears
in my eyes.
"I guess I am in your eyes," I
said as I ran up to BJ's room.
I slammed the door; BJ walked over to me with
a
concerned look on her face.
"What happened Ash?" BJ said as
I hugged her.
"He's mad at me BJ, he said I was dumb and everything!"
I said
as she opened the door. "What are you doing?"
I asked wiping
my eyes.
"I'm going to go talk to my brother," she said walking
down the hall and to Nick's room.
