Chapter 9
"Ladies and gentleman, this is the fashion show for
every Florida girl
and guy, bathing suit collection
by Victoria Secret here in the mall!" The
lady
said over the microphone. The look on
Brian's face when she said it
was hilarious!
"Now lets start this show!"
Everyone clapped
as the first girl came out.
The music blared out of the speakers, and everyone
clapped as each girl passed.
Then, about the 14th person, was Leslie.
She came out wearing a blue string
bikini that revealed basically everything.
She was so beautiful, and all the guys knew it then.
They cheered
as loud as they could
as she stopped at the end of the runway.
I looked
at Brian; I could see him shaking as
he looked at her.
"Look at
Brian," I said to Nick pointing. Nick laughed.
"He looks like he
got shocked by
lightning or something," he said as we laughed.
Leslie
turned around walking back to the back as
we cheered. Well except Brian. He was
still
a little mesmerized by her.
"Blue is also Brian's favorite
color," Nick said in my
ear.
I knew Brian and Leslie were perfect
for each other.
He was the first guy that could get her to talk to them.
Also the first guy she could talk about with
Wendy and I.
"Now
special for the guys, the lingerie." The lady
said as the girls came out.
Now no one told Leslie she had to do this,
Wendy and I was freakin' out
for her as she came out.
She was wearing a white see through spaghetti-strap
top, a white lace bottom that connected to
her white leggings, and white
high heels.
I looked at Wendy as she looked at me.
Leslie seemed
calm; Brian on the other hand did not.
I looked into his eyes and I realized...he
was in
love with her.
His eyes showed it when he looked at her.
After
the show, Leslie invited us backstage to see her.
I ran over to her, so did
Wendy as we hugged her.
She was still wearing the lingerie.
"Why
are you still wearing it?" I asked.
"I have to walk around and show
it off to people,
which means I have to stay here in this
for another hour!"
She said sighing.
"I'll stay with you, I bet the guys will, you should
have
seen their faces when you came out, like
puppies," I said whispering.
"That's
okay, you can go home, really I'm fine.
I just need a ride home at 2."
"Okay,
I'll come get you," I said as we walked off the
stage at to the guys.
Leslie
came even though I knew she didn't want to.
"Look at Leslie, what a cutie
huh?" I said, the guys
turning to her.
"You did good Leslie,"
A.J. said looking down at her.
The shirt revealed everything she had, so
I knew
he was doing it for a reason.
Wendy slapped him back into the
real world as he
cleared his throat.
"You really did," Kevin
said grinning.
"Yeah, you really did," Brian said smiling slightly.
"Thanks you guys. I gotta get back, see you
later," she said
as she walked away.
Brian watching her every step.
She looked back
at him once, then went backstage.
"Brian think if you stare any harder
your eyes will
fall out?" A.J. asked as he and Wendy laughed.
"I
was not A.J. We're just friends...anybody
hungry?" He asked trying to change
the subject.
"Not me," Nick said leading me away from the
group.
"I wanted to take you somewhere
today, are you up to it?"
"Depends,
what is it you want to do?" I asked as
he gave a sly smile.
"Not
going to tell, you just have to come with me."
"Okay I guess, I
don't have a final today so…"
"Great! Lets go!" He said as
he drug me to his car.
"But what about the guys? How are they
going
to get home?" I asked as he opened my door.
"I took separate cars.
Don't worry, I have everything
under control okay?" He kissed me lightly
as
he started the car and sped off.
I had no idea where we were going,
but I was so excited I couldn't contain myself.
Leslie At The Mall...
When
it got 3-o clock, I got worried.
I sat on the end of the runway as custodians
cleaned
all around me trying to clean around me.
I couldn't take it any
longer.
"Excuse me? Um do you know where,
a phone, is?" I said
stuttering.
"I have one in my pocket if you need it mam," the
custodian
said handing it to me.
"Thanks," I said as I dialed Wendy's cell
phone.
"Hello?"
"Wendy?"
"Hey babe!
Where are you?"
"Still waiting for Ashley! Where is she?"
"She's
with Nick somewhere, was she supposed to
pick you up?"
"Uh-huh."
"Okay,
um, my cars in the shop...let me call the guys
and see if they can come get you."
"Thanks
Wendy, thanks a lot."
"No problem! I was starting to worry about
you."
"I was worrying about Ashley, she should have
told me
you know?"
"Yeah, I'll call the guys okay? You just stay put."
"Okay,
bye."
"Bye babe!"
I hung up the phone and gave it back
to the man,
"Thanks."
"No problem. But now that you have
a way home I
have to lock up, so you have to go outside and wait.
I'm real
sorry about this."
"No it's okay, you're just doing your job."
"Bye
mam."
"Bye, and thanks again."
I walked out the door
in the rain and sat on the curb
as the cold water fell on my back,
sending
chills down my spine.
I'm gonna kill Ashley for this…
