The Drunken Wench Inn - Common Room
My apologies again for the poor rendering. Hopefully,
I can help explain some.
Yes, the Wench has running water, and heated
running water. It is not heated magically -- that
would be suicide in a bar where FayryBrandy is kept!
Being an alien means Vanny can import other-worldly
technology, like solar panels cleverly disguised as
roof tiles. However, she doesn't have the place wired
-- as far as anyone has been able to determine.
The common room is filled with large-sized tables
to accommodate, more often than not, beefy
warrior-types who not only need lots of elbow room,
but often lots of pectoral and ego room. Smaller,
round, bistro tables dot the open space.
The target drawn next to the booths is the "Fizz
Target", and traditionally no tables have been placed
in that zone. Alkafizz used to arrive in the Wench
through the roof after messing up a teleportation or
"worldwalk" spell. The target was never painted on
the floor, of course, as that would have ruined the
nice flagstones, but the patrons just knew they
didn't want to sit there.
The bar area is sort of layered: Vanny and her
mother needed a small, raised platform in order to
see over the top of the bar, so they had one built,
leaving enough space in front of the shelves of stock
(those rows of circles near the bottom of the image)
for a tall stepladder. The counter is lower than the
actual bartop, where the patrons drink their drinks.
The kitchen door to the narrow alley is on the
left. It is a small, Dutch door (that is, you can
open the top without opening the bottom). I just drew
it like a window because I was too lazy to write
"double-door" on the page. You can take for granted
that there's a refuse heap somewhere in that area.
The counter with the sinks is also a food
preparation area, and has drawers and cupboards for
the various implements. The pantry cupboard stores
preserved foods -- anything that needs chilling is in
the cellar (that blurry square next to the sinks).
The kitchen fireplace takes up the whole back
corner of the kitchen (incidentally heating that
hidden alcove no one else knows about), and the
illegible words above the three chimney circles say:
"Oven Fireplace".
The door to the hidden alcove is cleverly
disguised as badly-patched plaster in the wall --
only a few of Vanny's Elite Guard, her Chamberlain,
and Beebalm know about it. (No, you can't go there.
That's Vanny's. Keep out. This means you.)
I think that's it.
