The Building Update Page
Welcome to our Building Update Page for our new home build. Our site is located at 14 Kelly Drive in Arcadia and is exactly one acre in size, it measures 131 feet wide and 330 feet deep. It features many nice Live Oak trees and a quiet, secluded setting while still being in the city limits. We sold our Bed & Breakfast back in May, and are excited to be starting our new home.

The Build Begins
Here we are in early June with anxious anticipation of the work begining. Bob marked off the trees to save and those that must come out. A local clearing and fill company was contracted to remove the trees and bring in the fill dirt. Bob is overseeing the build and is acting as the Owner/Builder.

The Clearing Begins
On Friday, June 11, the land clearing equipment came in and after a full day of working had cleared the site and hauled off three large truck loads of debris. The area is now ready for initial layout and grade marks in preparation for bringing in fill dirt.

The Site is Ready!
The last load was hauled off on Saturday morning and the bulldozer leveled off the area clearing any remaining roots from the foundation area.
