Yes, it's a typical thing I have had much experience with. Great example. THis past weekend was very busy for the family, and Anne and I wanted to go out for coffee (just a break the two of us) last night. So, we put Joshie to sleep, and our older son, Chris, says he'll baby sit. THen, just as we're ready to leave, Joshie cries out, "Mommy, Daddy, I go poopy!" We decided to go to him to calm him down. Actually, he needed to go to the potty, so, Anne took him to the potty and he did his thing (we are really working hard on getting him toilet trained, esp. for (as he says) poopy. So, we really wanted to be there to support him last night. Well, the 5 minutes turned into 15, and finally we tried to get him back to sleep. BUt, he was up now and it took about 45 minutes to get him calm. By the end, we were both so tired, we never went out. But, it was fun, instead. I used my new Father's Day gas grill bar-b-que and made us a nice bar-b-que dinner, alone. But, almost not being alone at all.

Debbie, no, just the SSW would be fine. ANyway, having read the report of the CAPD eval you sent me (email) (I have a copy in front of me now), I am convinced that the pattern we are seeing is a pure integration problem. The integration parts of the SCAN-C and the SSW were the ONLY areas on which Sarah showed the left ear being so poor to the right ear. THus, I would expect the SSW on Friday to show the same right ear superiority. Then, we'd know for sure that we need to target development of integration abilities, which would be right on track with Sarah's auditory processig development.
