Hello, I got the Cobra 2010 base today. I dont have my ant. up yet so i hooked it up in my pick up to try it out. Around here if you ask for a radio check about all you get is a "yeah it's working" or on a rare occasion you might get a "sounds good".
Well I keyed up and asked for a check and people were walking all over each other with come backs like "you just blew out my speaker" another said "Hey what the "f" kinda radio IS that?" I told them just a little ol Cobra and naturally put in a plug for you. This was talking on a home made mag mount i threw together out of a broken magnetic lite and a 18" fiberglass ant. I got off a wrecked car behind the shop.
I think I'm gonna be REAL happy when I get it hooked up at the house :) I'm like a kid on Christmas eve...I can't wait to get it hooked up!!! I will keep you posted when I get the base set up. THANK YOU ! for my second GREAT radio from you, Your the BEST!!!! Mike Meador mikemeador@ev1.net

I'm not sure if you know David Sommer, aka Old #7 on panther and CB tricks forums but I made made contact with him earlier today on the radio and while we were talking he said "I don't know what set up you have but I have to tell you that it sounds fantastic with perfect modulation"
I came back and told him I was on the Cobra 2010 that you fixed up for me. He said he knew who you were but didnt make any other comments. Before I sent the radio to you it would only talk around 1500 bird watts, now I talk steady
at 2200 bird watts. I run a Dave Made 5 pill driving an Xforce 16 pill. That Uniden out
perform my Galaxy 77, of course that 77 wasn't tuned by you, so I am going to send my 77 for it to be tuned. Just tuned in to 26.835 in the morning time and listen to all my contacts that I make. I am Prime Time around the back woods of Georgia.

I just hooked the power wire to TR-23 Emitter and bingo.
I worked on this for a long time (10 hours) thinking maybe the oscillator itself was bad.

When I phoned you earlier this evening about the problem with the S,RF and Modulation meter not reacting on SSB I only hoped you might be able to diagnose the problem over the phone let alone send me a BMP and then walk me thru the adjustment of the VR2 pot.
Your customer service is over and above the rest of the technicians out there.

I'm writing to let you know that I
finally found the problem with the 99V. You had
repaired and tuned the radio months ago and sent her
back and I had a bad squeal with it while
transmitting.
I sent an e-mail describing the problem
and you replied that it did not do it on your bench.
You where right! the problem was a bad power
connection.
It works fine now and I really happy with
it and have received compliments. You recommended the
mic gain at the 12 O'Clock position. I ran her there
and had good results with a generic Roadking type mic
that worked well.
I recently bought an Astatic 636 and
it doesn't seem as loud and talkback response seems a
little crisper(maybe) and the noise canceling maybe
alittle better but it is not nearly as loud. With the
astatic should I run the mic gain higher to get it
louder ? I can run the gain higher without a squeal
with the astatic.
I have a feeling a should have
stayed with the old look alike roadking. I am running
it with power level down driving a Palomar 250HD and
it's doing the job quite well. I really would
appreciate any advice. I wanted to let you know the

Anyway, a friend of mine and I were talking on the forum and he was telling me he had radio problems and had no GOOD place to take his radio in the Melbourne area.
I told him about your site and gave him your number and said you got GREAT reviews on the net and that he should give you a call. Well, he did just that, got his radio back in less than 24 hours and was VERY pleased.

did alot of talking last night and everybody tought i bought a new radio,but they didnt believe me when i said its the same old radio ive been talking on.
the swing is crazy. ive got it at about 3/4s of a watt and it swings to almost 20.cant believe the diffrence in the drive on my amp.its picked up about 150 watts on the swing output. thank you for waking up that DEAD galaxy.

Peg Leg - Just got home and the set was waiting for me. I must say that I'm a little astounded as to how much you could do with so little.
This is no longer a radio, it is now a R A D I O! I ran it through its paces and found it to be rock solid and center slot through the entire bandwidth.
Not to mention all forward mod with no flat topping. Power mic? We don't need no stinkin' power mic !!
