The band was formed in the fall of 1994 by Magnus Eriksson (former guitarist) Simon, Christian and Marcus. In a couple of weeks Tomas joined the band. Two weeks later they had their first gig. At this time they rehearsed at a place called Musikhuset (south of Stockholm). They had a couple of gigs in the Stockholm area under the name Underfree and recorded their first demo at springtime of 1995. It was never released though.
In 1996 the band changed their name to blindside and recorded their first real demo at musik-huset studios. It was produced by Lars Mrt*n and Pirre (both in a band called Fistfunk). It was released in the fall of 1996 and was sent out to all major record labels.
During the fall they started rehearsing in the middle of Stockholm and got more gigs. Some of their concerts were arranged at a place called K23 by Cornell Gregori. Later on Thomas Carlsson (at K23) and Bo Hallberg got in touch with the band and wanted to sign them at their new record label day-glo. And in the beginning of 1997 they recorded their first album at TVinter studios.
Once again they choosed to work with Lars Mrt*n. The album was released in March of 1997. Recently the record was licensed for distribution in the U.S. by Solid State/Tooth & Nail Records.
