Benjamin Ernest Wiggins
5/26/1917-2/19/1991
My father was a retired conservationist for the U.S.D.A.
Soil and Water Conservation District. After retirement
from the U.S.D.A., he bought a 20 acre citrus grove on
North Tropical Trail, Merritt Island, Florida, and
worked the grove not only with a tractor, but also
with his hands, planting hundreds of new varieties of
experimental ruby red grapefruit trees and naval oranges,
until his death. He was born in Live Oak, Florida, and
was graduated from the University of Florida in
Agricultural Engineering. He was a recipient of the
Brevard County Farm Bureau's Distinguished Farm Service
Award. He had been president and director of the Brevard
County, Florida, Farm Bureau; chairman of the
Brevard County Agricultural Stabilization Conservation
Service Committee; and member of the Brevard County
Extension Service Citrus Advisory Committee.
He was a member of the Cocoa Elks Lodge, Cocoa Rotary Club,
Sons of the American Revolution and First United Methodist
Church of Cocoa. He was a former president of the
Sanford Rotary Club and the Cocoa Sons of the American
Revolution. He was a retired major in the Army Reserves
and written up in Who's Who in South and Southwest,
9th Ed., p. 996.
He was survived by my mother, Caroline Schreyer Wiggins

Benjamin is a joy to the entire family and has given much
love
in spite of being born with cerebral palsey.
My father, Benjamin Ernest Wiggins,was predeceased by
his brother, Robert Wiggins, and sister, Lorene Wiggins.
My father died of a heart attack and was buried at Florida
Memorial
Gardens within twenty feet of my maternal grandfather's
grave.
David Allen Wiggins married Yi Sun Pok on July 28, 1979, at Forsythe Chapel, Ft. Riley, Kansas. Yi Sun Pok is from South Korea, and she is a direct descendent of the Korean Royal family. They adopted a 100% Korean daughter, Sara Lee. We call Yi Sun Pok "Lea Wiggins." Yi is her last name in the Korean language.
William Randall Wiggins was married to Mary Peterson
Wehner in June, 1984, in Rockledge, Florida, at my
parent's home at 658 Orange Court. They were divorced.
Mary married Jack Coyle, a man who has devoted much time
and given much love to Benjamin Joshua Wiggins.

Caroline M. Schreyer Wiggins
12/22/1920-- My mother is a retired K-3 Primary
Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, Resource Teacher and
Classroom Teacher. She was graduated from the University
of the State of New York at New Paltz with a B.Ed. and
received her M.Ed. from Rollins College, Winter Park,
Florida. She was raised in Mamaroneck, New York,
at 718 Jefferson Avenue. She has two brothers,
Charles E. Schreyer, Jr. and Robert Schreyer. She was
also a church organist for Hope United Church of Christ
for over twenty years but was a member of the Cocoa
United Methodist Church, and her hobby was flower
arranging for which she was extremely talented and has
won many awards. She is a past president of Delta Kappa
Gamma, a professional education sorority. After the
death of my father, my mother joined the Rockledge
Presbyterian Church because it was much closer to our
home at 658 Orange Court. As a child, she was a mamber
of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in Mamaroneck, New York.
She met my father on Thanksgiving, and they married the next Easter on April 9, 1944, at her home in Mamaroneck, New York, and lived happily everafter.

William Henry Ford. Born in England. He married Josephine
Caroline Hammond on August 19, 1892. Mr. Ford died and
Josephine married Mr. Schreyer, who adopted my grandfather and changed
his name from "Ford" to "Schreyer." When Josephine's second
husband died (Mr. Ford), she married a Mr. Hyndman.
