For the things that are weighing heavy on my heart ...
For the perspective about their importance ...
For patience ...
For understanding ....
For patience while waiting for the understanding ...
For the love that exists ... homeless ... a little cardboard sign in its empty hands ... words
scrawled across the beat up board ... "will love for love" Few even meet my eyes ... One of
us is always looking down, or looking around the corner just to make sure there's nothing
better.
For the unsettled issues that threaten my security ...
For the dependence that haunts me ...
For the freedom that alludes me ...
For the dull ache ... the longing ... the confusion ... the anger ... the frustration ...
the emptiness ...
For the words that were never spoken, and those that fought there way out
and wreaked havoc ....
For regrets, and hindsight ...
Dear God .... I pray ...
Thy will be done.
