The Blessing Dream

She woke with happy joyful dreams
still resting on her mind ...
and images of Another's Love
that gave her joy to share them.

her eyes opened slowly to greet the day
with heartfelt joy and promise;
to bless the world the dream had made,
and give it now its birthing.

It was a new day ...
born-fresh from dreams now seeming ending ...
but with gladness
and joy and laughter.

That day, every word she spoke
was spoken with Love's intention,
and blessed the world with the blessings
she awoke with.

Each deed she did was blessed as well,
and joyed the ones who saw it.
Her hands touched hearts filled full with grieving
and healed them of their weeping.

She learned from dreams that dreams do come
To teach the one who dreams them ...
that blessing is the Gift of God
and blessing, too, her Reason.

And when the morning sun had set,
it, too, laid blessings on her.
It's rays of reds and golden hues
to bathe her mind in freshness.

Slowly she closed them ... gently and with peace ...
to dream again of ancient dreams
and the blessings they come to offer.

She slept ... the blessed sleep
that happy dreams do bring ...
to waken in a seeming 'morrow,
and bless the world again.

The Glitter Path

God,

The sun is setting over the lake,
a little lake so still
that Peace itself
might make this its home

And casts upon the water
a glittering path:

reflecting every color
Reds and golds and silvers
against the blackness

in the water
which even in stillness
is moving, moving...

A path that follows us
as we walk along the edge.

Is this not the way
we will find our way to You,

from the first timid steps
to the full stride
across the water
and into
the heart of Your Heart?

Or stand on the shore,
and just watch again
as the glitter path
narrows in the nightfall

and wait for the end
of another day

Knowing the path will appear
again to light our way.
