Brian got home from recording and listened to his messages. There was
one from his mom, dad, and brother. Another was from his neice. She
said that she was sorry about the wolfman thing. The last message was
from Morgan. "Hi Brian? It's Morgan. I wasn't positive that this was
your number but the machine said it all. Anyway, call me. We have lots
to catch up on. It's been almost a year and you probably don't even
remember me. Oh well. Um, the number's 745-5698. Bye." Morgan?
He hadn't seen her for awhile now. She was sixteen and that was three
years ago. They talked on her birthday last year, when she turned
eighteen, and here she was, almost nineteen, calling her bud. "God, I
gotta call her back!" he exclaimed. * * * * Morgan was in her room,
for the third day, unpacking. Yet again. She was listening to Billie's
new CD. And singing along. "because we want to, because we want
t-AAAAGH!!!" she screamed as the phone rang. She picked up a pile of
junk and picked up the reciever. "Yallo?" "Morgan? It's me,
Brian." Omigod! Hi! How are you? How's the band goin'? Uh-" "SHUT
UP!!!" he laughed. "Well, I see you're the same motor-mouth as always.
So, ya have a B-Day coming up. Happy B-Day." "Thanx, but it's not for
another month. I'm a Virgo, not a Leo. Re-mem-ber? That's
Howie." "Oops!" he laughed. "You guys are just so much the same
tha-" "HEY! Shut up!" Morgan laughed. "It's good to hear you
laughing." Brian stated. He knew what she had gone through in the past
few years and it was just plain icky. "Yeah, you too. Guess where I
am!?!" she teased. "I dunno. Where?" he played along, thinking she
was in Europe from all the noise and the accent of the singing.
"Look out your...um...kitchen window!" He walked over just to find
her waving at him from an apartment across the way. "Pretty schnazzee.
You move?" "Yes, I just couldn't bear being away from you any longer."
she said in an actress voice like from the twenties. "Really?" "NO!"
she laughed. How be da boys?" she asked. "Not bad. Nick's still
way- wait- W-A-HAAA-Y into video games, Kevin's still boring, Howie's
hitting on the ladies (Am NOT!) sorry Howie. And A-" "Lemme guess.
AJ's still the group moron." she giggled. "Nah, 'e's worse!!!" Brian
laughed. Morgan felt a heart pang at the thought of them. "Listen
hon, I gotta go," Brian started, "but I'll tell ya what. Call me back.
. . ."
