We are going to start travleing to Toronto tomorrow. Everyone was in the Den. Nick and AJ went out to town for some reason. Kris, Brian and I were sitting on the couch watching "Scream 2". Howie and Kevin were playing cards.
"AHHH" Krista screamed when Sidney found Randy all cut up in the van.
"ANd he was cute" I said sadly. Brian giggled. Brian got up and walked over to Kev and Howie.
He sat next to them. "Do you know where AJ and Nick went?" he asked
"Ummm...." Howie started finishing his play "I don't know. They didn't say"
"Well" Kev replied. He whispered "I think they're getting a present for Krista"
"Ohhhh" Brian replied "You know AJ, the romantic type" Kev and Howie just smiled.
~*AT THAT SAME MOMENT*~
"What do you think of this?" AJ asked Nick. He pointed to a silver ring in a cabnet. They were shopping in Winnepeg. AJ repeated "Nick?"
Nick assesed the ring "It's OK".
"You're a big help" AJ replied. Nick had a worried look on his face. AJ walked over "Nick, is something bothering you?"
Nick suddenly became alert "No...well yea"
They stood by the corner as AJ looked at some more rings. "SHoot" AJ told him
Nick leaned over "AJ I'm gonna miss Tessa when she leaves. I really like her. We've spent alot of time together. I just don't know if this is gonna work. Well I want it to work. But what if..."
AJ interrupted him "Don't even think what I think you're thinking. She isn't using you because you're a BSB member. I can tell. I wasn't sure about Mandy when I was dating her. All she cared about is my money and spending it all"
"Yea" Nick agreed "You're right". AJ noticed two rings.
"Excuse me Maim" AJ said to a blond haired woman "WHat kind of rings are those?" He said pointing to the rings.
"Those" SHe said chanking on her gum "Are promise rings. You give it to someone, look at the first shooting star and make a promise."
AJ knew those would be perfect for Krista. 'How much?" Heasked taking out some money from is pocket.
She ranged up the price on her cash register "150". AJ payed. "Have a nice day" she called.
Nick and AJ got some ice cream. "You're giving that to krista?" he asked eating his mint chocolate chip ice cream.
"Yea" He replied eating his ice cream "I'm going to promise her that no matter where I go or what i do, I will always love her"
"That's sweet man" Nick said patting his shoulder
"Are you and Tess gonna stay together when she goes back?" AJ asked
"Yea I hope so" Nick replied "And she goes to FSU so I can still see her"
"Good" AJ replied "Tess is a great girl Nick. I wouldn't let her go"
"Yea" Nick replied dazing in and out. Then he said throwing his ice cream dish away "I love her AJ"
"You told her you loved her?" AJ said supriseingly "When?"
"A few days ago" Nick replied
"WOW" AJ replied "You hardley ever use the L word. Especially on a girl you met only 6 weeks ago"
"I know" Nick said "I mean..." he put his hands through his hair "I don't know. There's something about her. That my other girlfriends never had. She's different"
"Yea" AJ said as they walked back to the van.
"I hope everything works out" Nick said as AJ turned on the igntion "For the both of us" They rode back in silence
~*THAT NIGHT 7:36*~
Everyone was finished with dinner. It was Kevin's turn to wash dishes. Howie chatted with him. Brian, Nick and I were watching TV. AJ and Krista were sitting outside looking at the stars. AJ knew this would be his chance.
"Aren't the stars beautiful?" Krista asked AJ as they cuddled on a picnic table out front
"Not nearly as beautiful as you" was his reply. Krista looked at him. SHe gave him a kiss.
"Thanks" Kris replied. AJ rubbed her arm to keep her warm. He took out the ring and slipped it on her finger. She looked at what AJ put on her finger.
"It's a promise ring" He told her. Just then, he saw a shooting star "And I promise on that shooting star that no matter where I go or what i do, I will always love you". AJ held her hand. Krista just looked at the ring. She was so happy she didn't know what to say. She smiled. "Oh AJ" she finally managed to say "You're so sweet" She gave him a kiss.
"Anything for you Baby"AJ told her.
Brian, Nick and I were watching "I still know what you did last summer". I was in such suspence. Brian and Nick played a trick on me. Just when the fisherman was gonna get Brandy, Nick and Brian screamed "Boo!!!" I jumped up to the ceiling.
They were just laughing their asses off "That was so not fucking funny" I replied angirly as I punched Brian in the arm.
"I thought it was" Nick gasped. I turned to him and gave him a kiss.
"Now" I started crawling on his lap. "Will you be a good boy and let me finish the movie?" I went back to my seat
"Yes Maim!" He replied. Brian and I just smiled. We were all with our arms linked as we watched the rest of the movie. When it was over, we decided to play a little Midnight Basketball. We headed to the court next door. Brian dribbled arond Nick and shot.
"SWOOSH!!!" Brian yelled.
"Great shot" I complimented him
WHy thank you" He replied witha bow. I took the ball from Nick.
"My turn" I told him playfully
"And what do I get?" He asked with his hands on his hips
I kissed him. "Works for me" he replied. I took my place at the 3 point line, bended my knee and shot.
"AHHAH!" I cheered "Nothing but Net". We chatted about the party in a few weeks. "Brian" I started "Is Leighanne gonna be there?" as I took another shot.
"I think so" he replied as he took a shot "She'll be flying in". He gave the ball to Nick.
"There's gonna be a DJ, many celebs and stars, our family and close friends" he informed me.
"Great" I replied getting his rebound. I took my shot "I know I'm gonna have fun"
You sure will" Brian replied. He got my rebound.
I picked up a purple flower from the ground "I'm gonna miss all you guys thogh" I glumly replied. Nick and Brian came over to me.
"We're gonna miss you too" Brian replied with a smile.
"Especially me" Nick whispered.
"AWWWW guys" I said blushing "C'mon group hug". We all got in a circle and gave each other hugs. "I have never been so happy in all my life" I told them as I sat on the ground "Thanks for making this such an enjoyable experiance"
"No problem Tess" Brian replied "We've had fun with you"
Nick whispered in my ear "I think I've made it the most enjoyable experiance for you" He smiled devilishly. I smiled and softly kissed him.
Another great day has passed. Krista told me that AJ gave her a promise ring! Isn't that sweet. He's such a romantic. Nick and I are a different kind of couple. We don't show much affection in the open, but we still care for each other. Remember to always keep your head up and look foward to tomorrow.
