Angel Standing By<bR><bR>
Chapter 12<bR><bR>

"We're here, we're here, we're here!!!!!!!!!!"<bR><bR>

It was now Nick's turn to be snapped back into reality by Aaron.  He looked down at Claire.  She hadn't even flinched at Aaron's rantings.  "Hey sweetie, wake up."  He began to kiss her on the lips.  She slowly started to wake up, and as she did, returned the kiss.<bR><bR>

"Nice wake up call!" she said with a grin.  Then she remembered...........they were now at the hotel.........Nick would be staying in the room with her..........and she was gonna have to tell him...........<bR><bR>

"C'mon you guys!  What, do you plan on sleeping in the tour bus all night?"  AJ tried to sound like he was joking, but lately, things had just been getting stranger between him and Claire......and watching her and Nick go at it didn't help any.  He had faced the truth.......he was jealous.  But, was he jealous of what they had, or was he jealous that Nick had her?  It was something that he hadn't quite figured out yet.  "Nah, the bunk beds aren't big enough!  There's no way we could have any kind of fun in those things!  Those are meant strictly for sleeping in."  AJ's thoughts were interrupted by Nick's smart ass comment and the sight of him carrying Claire off the tour bus like she was some damsal in distress.  All AJ could do was thank God that Nick's dad was the guardian of Aaron on this tour.  He knew that if Mrs. Carter ever heard Nick talk like that.......well, Nick would be in major trouble.<bR><bR>  

All of them sounded like a herd of cattle as they trampled through the hotel.  Finally though, they all had there assigned rooms and were given keys.  Nick and Brian acted as though they were room buddies, running to see who'd get to the door first, and Aaron soon followed.<bR><bR>

"Aaron, where do you think you're going?"  Mr. Carter had a puzzeled look on his face.  Brian and Nick just looked at each other and then down at Aaron, both of them knowing that if the little one did the talking that they'd for sure get caught.<bR><bR>

"Oh, Nick, Brian and I are gonna play video games all night!"  Aaron's answer shocked them both.<bR><bR>

"Well, since you all have the day off tomorrow, I don't really see the harm in it.  Just don't eat so much junk food that you all get sick!" and with that, he entered his room and shut the door.<bR><bR>


Brian and Nick both looked at Aaron in amazement.  "What?"
"How did you....."<bR><bR>

"Hey, Nick, I'm not stupid!  Now, go get her tiger!"<bR><bR>

Nick began to laugh while Brian's jaw dropped to the floor.  "Umm, Aaron, I think you need to hang around AJ a little less from now on."  Brian was trying his hardest not to laugh.  Aaron flashed the famous Carter grin.  "Get in there!" Brian said, pretending to be angry.  Aaron quickly scrambled for the bathroom and locked the door.<bR><bR>  

Nick just kept laughing.  "Well, looks like you're gonna have your hands full tonight!  I shall be on my way to see my lady!"<bR><bR>

"You owe me Frack," Brian said, only half joking.<bR><bR>

Nick approached Claire's door, knocking lightly.........just like the night when they first........<bR><bR>

"Hey Nicky!" Claire's face was so angelic and beautiful that he completely missed the fact that she called him by the name that he dispised.  She grasped the front of his shirt just tight enough to pull him into her room.  His tumble forward had them locking lips.  Nick slammed the door shut behind him, making sure not to break his kiss with Claire, and moved themselves over to the bed.  Nick gently began kissing her neck................<bR><bR>

"Wait.  Nicky, we have to talk."<bR><bR>

"Uh huh," he barely got out in between kisses.<bR><bR>

"Seriously Nickolas, we have to talk."<bR><bR>

He knew she really meant it.  His full first name?  She never called him Nickolas.  "What's on your mind sweet thang?"<bR><bR>

Claire could barely bring herself to say what she had to.  Nick was looking at her so lovingly with his puppy dog eyes.  She was about to hurt him.  What was she thinking?  It's not like she could keep this to herself any longer though.  He had to know, and he had to know now.  "Nicky.............."<bR><bR>
