Parts Fourteen and Fifteen

Just when their lips were about to come in contact with each other, the shrill sound broke the spell. Mumbling something inaudible, Ryan leaned over to the night stand and picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Okay, he'll meet you there. Talk to you soon." With that, Kathleen hung up the phone. "There's been an accident and the guys need your help. There was a call into the station and some people are trapped in a building on Elmwood Ave."

Bell looked into Kathleen's eyes, trying to figure out how she felt about this. What he could see there was disappointment, joy, and could it be...love? "Are you sure? I'm supposed to be staying here taking care of you."

Kathleen responded with more force than she thought she had. "Yes. I'm sure. The guys need your help...the people trapped need your help. I'll be here...I'm not going anywhere." She pointed to her leg and the rest of her aching body.

"Okay...I'll be back as soon as I can." He reached over and kissed her one more time before leaving the room.

****************

The next week and a half went well. Ryan's physical therapy was going well. She was well ahead of schedule and would be back to duty in another week. After returning from physical therapy Ryan went into her room and changed because she and Bell were going out for dinner.

Dinner was fantastic. They went to a fine dining restaurant that had dishes that were at the least $15, exqusit wines, and lots of dancing room. Bell and Ryan took advantage of each one, enjoying each to their fullest.

After dinner they went and got some ice cream and then headed for home. Michael headed into the bedroom to check on how Kathleen was doing. To his suprise, she was still up. Their eyes met and held, making the moment last forever. Michael and Kathleen's lips met for the first time. It started out gently enough, but they had waited too long and gone through too much for that to be enough. Soon, white hot desire filled the endless kiss. Kathleen's hands went to his hair where they played, all the while she pressed her body tightly against Michael's, whose closed eyes and the groans coming from deep within his body told of desire, lust, and need he felt. His hands tightened around Kathleen's waist and spine.

Ever so gently Bell lowered Ryan's body onto the bed, careful not to hurt Ryan's frail body. Due to the condition of Ryan's body, Bell was just content to lay next to her and kiss her. However, an occasional move of the hand elicited an erotic sound from Kathleen.

After an hour or so of passion-filled kisses and caresses, Bell decided it was time to get some sleep. "You know, as much as I'm enjoying this, you need your rest if you're to recover quickly."

Ryan knew that this was true but she was reluctant to give up what they had started. "I know, I just don't want to stop. Plus, this is new territory for us and we shouldn't rush it. Will you stay with me? No touching, I promise." She gave a smile that would melt anyone's thoughts of protest.

"Sure. I'll stay." Bell pulled the covers over the two of them and Ryan was quickly off to sleep. It had been a crazy couple of days and she was tired.

**************

Kathleen began to stir around 10:30 but didn't wake up until quarter of 11. She rolled over onto her side fully expecting to find Bell still sleeping there. Instead, and much to both her excitement and disappointment, she found a note with a white rose (her favorite). Quickly she opened the note and read it. There was a poem there:

Awaken love, the sun beats itself upon our windowsill and dawn is well spent into day Awaken, love open your eyes lighting all they touch upon in wondrous blaze

Upon the streets a kitten's mew and beggar's shoe are calling and the voiceless ask to borrow yours so sweet and always falling

Awaken, love we are a pair to knives, two flags two slender stocks of wheat And the song that sleeps inside your mouth is the song which bids my heart to beat

For without your hands your battle cry your timid fearless roaming eye I would be awkward hands with no flag with no pulse no boast to brag

I'll always be there for you Kathleen.

Love, Michael

She smiled to herself...this was definitely the best couple of weeks for her.

Kathleen held the letter to her heart, knowing that it's where the words came from. A minute or so later she took the note in hand, put on her robe, and went to go see if Bell was still at her house.

As she rounded the corner to the kitchen a wondrous smell greeted her. A combination of the smell of her house, and the wonderful breakfast that Michael was preparing filled her nostrils. Quickly, yet silently so he didn't hear her, Ryan closed the space between her and Bell. Upon reaching him, her arms went around his strong waist and rested on the front of his muscular chest. Nuzzling her head in his shoulders, Kathleen remembered what had happened over the course of the few weeks Bell had been at her house.

Turning around, still in Ryan's arms, Michael placed soft kisses on her lips, her nose and eyes before moving on to the more sensitive area of the neck. His actions were rewarded with sweet moans that came from his partner. "Mmm" was the only thing that came from her mouth. Tilting her head further back so Michael had better access to her neck, she continued to allow him to show her how much he was enjoying their newly found relationship.

"How about we skip breakfast and go straight to desert?" This famous pick up line sounded like a good offer. Just as Ryan was about to respond, her stomach decided it would have its say, grumbling so loud that Michael could hear it. This broke up what had promised to be a great time for all concerned.

"I think we had better eat" a playful grin crossed his lips. Michael reached around and took a strawberry from a bowl. Placing it between two of his fingers, he spoke seductively, "open your mouth." Ryan eagerly agreed to this simple demand and opened her mouth all the while, closing her eyes. Placing some of it in her mouth, he waited for her to bite into it. When Ryan did, he pulled the rest away from her mouth. Bell quickly replaced the missing fruit with his lips where the sweetest taste met them...the taste of strawberry combined with the taste of Ryan's lips drove him crazy.

All thoughts of food were quickly forgotten as the kiss deepened. Tongues dueled with each other and hands explored the other's bodies. It was Ryan who was the first to break up the quickly escalating passions between her and Michael. "How about my room?" Her eyebrows moved in a suggestive way.

"Sounds like a great plan." Michael allowed Ryan to let her arms to drop to her sides but not before grabbing her index finger in a strong hold. She turned and started down the hall towards the bedroom with Michael right behind her.
