DO  YOU  WANT

TO  GO  TO

HEAVEN

???

This is a simple, easy to follow guide that will
help any person of any age understand how
to go to heaven when you die.  It only takes a
few minutes to complete.

Brief Instructions

This is a Do-It-Yourself Guide on how to become a Christian
(or, how to be saved) but it does not mean you can save yourself.
Only Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, can save a person.

The Bible says:

"Salvation is found in no one else; for there is no other
name given to mankind (except the name of Jesus)
by which we must be saved."
[Acts 4:12]

So, we begin by establishing this fact:
Jesus is the only Savior
And to be saved, we must come to Him.
The Bible alone tells us how to come to Jesus.

This guide will give Bible answers to four questions on salvation.
As you read the printed Bible verses, please pause briefly
and consider carefully what is said.
Remember, it is God speaking to you through His Word.

Question: Does everyone need to be saved?
Could it be that some person who simply tries
to live right is acceptable to God just as he is?

The Bible says everyone needs to be saved because:

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
[Romans 3:23]

Everyone needs to be saved because everyone has sinned
and  "trying to live right"  will not turn a sinner into a Christian.
Only God can make a Christian out of a sinner
and He does it only when the sinner
comes to Jesus.

Would you say that you have sinned?_________

Question:  Are there some good reasons
why a person should be saved?

The Bible gives the two main reasons in Romans 6:23:

(1) First, you need to be saved to escape God's
judgment on sin, which is eternal death
and separation from God.

"The wages of sin is death (eternal separation)..."

(2) Second, you need to be saved so you can live
an abundant life day-by-day
and then go to heaven when you die.

"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Is there any reason why you would not be willing
to accept God's gift of eternal life?___________

Question:  If I decide to  "come to Jesus"  as the
Bible says, just exactly how do I do it?

The Bible says:

(1) You come to Jesus in your heart.

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and a strong faith."
[Hebrews 10:22]

Being saved is a matter of the heart.
Your heart is where your love and loyalty is.
It is an internal decision and commitment.

(2) You must exercise your will to come to Jesus.

"Whosoever will, let him come and take the water of life (salvation)
as a free gift."
[Revelation 22:17]

Becoming a Christian is a matter of choice.
You must choose to be saved
and choose to come to Jesus for salvation.

(3) You must come to Jesus in repentance.

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."
[Acts 3:19]

Repentance means a change of direction...
turning away from sin
and turning to God through Jesus.
It's like making a U-turn.
It is a willingness to live a new lifestyle.

"Repent and turn to God..."
[Acts 26:20]

(4) You must come to Jesus in faith and make Him the Lord of your life.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is (your) Lord
and believe (faith) in your heart that God raised
Him from the dead, you will be saved."
[Romans 10:9]

Faith (trusting in Jesus) means you personally
accept what Jesus did on the cross for you.
To make Him Lord means
you invite Him to take control of your life.

Re-read the four points (without re-reading the verses)
two or three times.
Any person of any age must do these four things to be saved.

Are you willing to do them?____________

Question:  What should I do now if I accept
what the Bible says about being saved?

The Bible says you should pray:

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."
[Romans 10:13]

You can simply bow your head where you are
(or, you can get alone somewhere and get on your knees)
and pray.
~~
You can pray in your heart or out loud.
~~
Your prayer must be sincerely yours.
It must come from your heart.
~~
It should include the following:

---Tell God you are a sinner and ask him to forgive you.
---Tell Him you are turning from your sins.
---Ask Jesus to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life.
  ---Thank Him for saving you.

turn your heart to Jesus animation, 5Kb

Why not do this right now...
Then call someone and tell them of your decision.
Find a good local church to attend
where you can be a part of good
Christian fellowship
and learn of God's Word
