"So I see you two are back together." He said plainly.
"No. I just lied to him. He reminded me of all the things we've done together and the song he wrote me, and this ring ( I showed him ) he gave me that said we'd always be together and he begged me. I told him we needed to test other waters and if it was meant to be it would happen but we should be friends for now."
"So what do you mean you lied to him?"
"The whole test out other waters and see if it's meant to be thing. As many good times as we've had I can't risk him hurting me like he did. I need to move on and get someone who I really match with and can picture myself with forever, ya know?"
"Yea, I do." He smiled. He was thinking along the same lines as I was at that moment and how I wanted to be with him. But hopefully that would develop later on after our first "date".
"Well listen can I go introduce you to everyone now?" He asked.
"Sure." We got off the couch and he grabbed my hand and we walked over to the guys.
"Justin, Joey, Chris, JC.. I'd like you to meet Jen." He said.
"I think we already picked your name earlier when you were being called for." Chris said.
"Yea, sorry he came around here. Really I am." I said.
"There's nothing to be sorry for. We know you didn't bring him here. Lance told us what he did. How did things go?" JC asked.
"Well I told him we could test out other waters and see if we can get back together later and be friends for now. But I don't want to get back with him, he's too much of a heartbreaker. So I'm going to move on and find someone I'm better off with."
"Anyone in particular in mind." Joey suggested.
I laughed "you never know. Well it was really a pleasure meeting you all but I really should be going with my friends. We need to have a heart to heart I think and we don't wanna be late for sound check and the show. I hope to see you all later. And Lance thanks for everything. You sure know how to cheer a girl up." I smiled and walked away to Ashley and Amy.
"Wow she seems really sweet and perfect for you. So when are you going to ask her out?" Joey asked.
"I already did ask her out on a date, but we've gotta decide when and where still. So after the show she's going to come back here and we'll work things out. That could be a date itself."
"So where are her seats?" Chris asked.
"She had like row 13 but I moved her up to front and center."
"Of course gotta have a focal point."
Out in the stadium in our front row seats Amy and Ashley had me giving them all the details about the "break-up" between me and AJ. I wasn't really talking about him too much cause I kept dazing off thinking about Lance. I mean sure it was weird since I just met him and all but he went out of his way to comfort me when I was really down and he made a world of difference and that just proves what a great guy he was.
"So Jen how's your mom going to take your break up didn't she think AJ was so great?" Ashley asked.
"Yea she'll miss him but I have this feeling he'll be over now and then still you know as my friend and all. But trust me if things go as planned my mom is going to love the new guy much much more than AJ."
"New guy?" Amy asked.
"Yea, new guy." I smiled
The opening acts weren't too bad compared to other concerts before but I really only wanted to see *NSync. When they came out they really rocked the stadium. The vocals were of course on target as always. This show was one with a lot of special rigs and pyrotechnics. The show lasted about an hour and a half and the energy was so high throughout the entire performance. Once it was finally over I got nervous all of a sudden. I mean I had already met the guys but it scared me the instant connection Lance and I had in the short time we had spent backstage.
