In Loving Memory Of

This page is dedicated to the life and memory of my
Grandaddy Jones, also know as Duke.

Otis Merrill "Duke" Jones of
Milton, Florida was born on February 18, 1920.
He passed away on August 18, 1999,
thus making him exactly 79 1/2 years old.
He was a native and resided most
of his life in the northwest Florida area. He was
retired from the
United States Air Force where he served 22 years as
an airplane mechanic.
He was also a retired gas
station owner/operator, real estate salesman,
insurance agent, and child care worker.
He is survived by his wife
of 60 years, Hazel Jones. Duke is also
survived by his 4 children: Dr. Merrill O. Jones
of Sneads, Florida, Annette Vause,
Kathy Gibson, and Misty Menefee
all of Milton. He is survived by
7 grandchildren: Cindy Buckhalter, Sherry Roberson,
Alan Gibson,
Leigh Brooks, and Rachel McLeod of Milton, Florida,
Keith Roberson of New Iberia, Louisianna
and Amanda Jones of Sneads Florida.
He also leaves behind
6 great grandchildren: Michael Russell,
Lauren Roberson, Kayleigh Gibson,
Aaron Gibson, and Austin Brooks
of Milton and Robert Roberson of
New Iberia, Louisianna.
Last but not least, he is
survived by his 2 great great grandchildren
Corey Allen Menefee and Garret Scott Menefee
also of Milton, Florida. Funeral services for Duke were
held at Lewis Funeral Home in
Milton, Florida at 3 pm on August 22, 1999.
