The Native American Indian's advancement in Dominant Society objective probably indicates objectives that are not within the realm of human influence. We are primarily concerned with the LACK of recognition of "our people" (the Native American Indian) within our everyday world. The government, federal and state, in its infinite LACK of wisdom has singled out American Indians as the ONLY race that is required to prove who they are!

We are the ONLY UNITED STATES CITIZENS who to prove who we are....are required to carry a card issued by a Federal, State or federally recognized Tribal Nation.

Our primary objective in this area is to eliminate the need of government credentials to prove or substantiate our genetic heritage.

Many thousands of individuals who are genetically Native American Indian can not prove their genetic lineage sufficiently to meet the approval of government guidelines. This problem was originally created by the same government, "relocating" and "enrolling" our ancestors for their (the government's) convenience.

Personally, I am not at all sure who sanctioned the government with the authority to determine any human beings ethnic or national, let alone genetic origin!?! I am sure that the Creator of us all issued no such sanction or authority.

We firmly believe that the past...however right or however wrong...is not ours to change....But...ours to learn from. Therefore, we choose to attempt to change the present in hopes of the future. And....at present we and our people are still expected to prove who and what they are.

This is no more acceptable than it would be to require all Caucasians to prove their genetic lineage had not been infiltrated with Asian, Hispanic, Black, Indian, Oriental or any other lineage of "color" in order to claim to be Caucasian.

Years ago a small book raised...by its very title...some food for thought......perhaps some consideration for those whose intelligence level permits such luxury. It was/is simply called......

That thought should cause some individuals more than a little concern!!

Unfortunately, we can not propagate a mistruth...no matter how tempting it may be.

The truth substantiated amongst many of the sacred oral teachings clarify for us....that God, Creator, Great Mystery (etc.) is a composite of all races and ethnic origins. All races and ethnic origins...all life...came from the Creator as small representative factions of Divine Creator, so we ALL exist with Divinity and Divinity exists within ALL. Hence comes the sacred concept of Mitakuye Oyasin....for we all (all life) come from and return to the same source....all related...all essentially of One.

The government is not our enemy in this matter....ignorance and hearts ruled by heads are.

Our goal in this area is immense and must be addressed in every action and deed we undertake right now and then forward. Now is the present, tomorrow is the future.
