CLANS WITHIN OCALI NATIONS.
TONI, INC is a non-profit Florida and Arkansas based corporation. We have been in existence for 20 plus years and anticipate perpetual continuance. Being an Intertribal Organization, (yes, we deliberately mis-spell that in our chartered name) we are comprised of individuals of many different tribal (nation) genetic backgrounds. We even have individuals with zero Native American genetic lineage BUT who are "RED AT HEART" (spiritually). Being true believers of "MITAKUYE OYASIN" ("WE ARE ALL RELATED"), genetic lineage is not of primary importance to us....HEART DIRECTION, SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND INTENT ARE....for therein lies the true "SPIRIT OF THE REDMAN"....not the color or lack of in his/her skin.
Being Intertribal brings with it some pretty heavy responsibility.....For we MUST HONOR AND RESPECT the diversity of the practices, teaching, traditions and customs of all Native American Nations. As difficult as this is at times, HONORING this diversity allows us to learn from each other.....thereby we as an organization and as individuals become bigger, better and grow into the future with true unity and unconditional love.
WE BECOME A PART OF THE WHOLE....YET WE CARRY THE WHOLE WITHIN US.
Our primary objective is the perpetuation of the oral teachings, ceremonial concepts and the symbolism that partially conceals the sacredness of the old teachings and the "old ways". Without understanding the symbolism, we as individuals, can never peel off the MANY layers of profound significance within the oral teachings, myths, legends or ceremonies.
We welcome any with SINCERE desire (and interest) to learn grow and incorporate the same into their daily life....regardless of their genetic ethnic lineage.
