Pokémon cheats and codes
NO GAMESHARK CHEATS
- Get Over 99 of Any Item (Without a Game Shark!) This Trick Alone, is not as exciting, but put them together and you have the code you've been waiting for! And here's how you do it! First, return back to Viridian City and talk to the man who taught you how to catch a Weedle (he is near the Gym where you face Giovanni). Reply
- Missingno. Pokémon #000 First have a Pokémon with surf. Go in the first door inside the Pokémon lab on Cinnabar Island and trade with one of the trainers in there. Then surf along the east coast of Cinnabar Island, half on water, half on land. Eventually you will fight a bird called Missingno. (the fourth legendary bird?). It does lots of damage but is easy to defeat. It looks like a mass of dots flying around. just throw balls at it to catch it. Be warned, having this Pokémon can crash your Hall of Fame and mess up the graphics (all your Pokémon and the enemy Pokémon can get all warped in battle). It is number 000 in the Pokédex and doesn't have an entry. it has a high attack but all its other stats are really low. If you have an older model Gameboy (not Color or Pocket versions) you may risk your game by catching it.
- Catch Safari zone pokemon elsewhere. First Go into the safari zone, walk around in an area where you found a particular pokemon you want till your time runs out. Then fly to cinnabar island or seafoam islands and surf on the east coast you will run into safari zone pokemon
- Clone Pokémon .You need a friend for this. Trade the Pokémon to be cloned and have you friend get a Pokémon they don't care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the weak and common Pokémon can see the other's screen. When the receiver of the good Pokemon's screen says
- Fight 100+ Level Pokemon. Perform the 99 Items code above, then after encountering 'M, keep surfing around for a while and you will run into Pokemon that are Lv 135 and above! It is possible to capture them. What's so valuable about this trick is that you might just run into Bulbasaurs, Charmaders and Squirtles! However, some copies of the game can do this better than others, and if you use the Pokemon in a battle other than a 2 player battle, it will revert back to a Lv. 100 Pokemon. Still, defeating these high level Pokemon is a quick way to earn up to 3000 Exp. Points!
- Legendary Birds.There are three legendary birds Zapdos,( the easiest to catch)Articuno and Moltres they are found In three different places Seafoam Island ( Articuno) Power plant and victory road
- Better Chance To Capture Pokémon.There is a code for the USA version (it might work for the Japanese version too) to catch Pokémon easier. When you throw a Poké-ball hold Up and press down the
- Powerful attacks. When you attack your foe hold the button A it the attack will be much stronger than usuall.
- Start With All Three Start Pokémon. Requires:2 linkable game boy systems,2 pokemon games(any color),and a game link cable NOTE:Make sure that Game Boy B takes Bulbasaur to start and then you`ll see the rest of the code below.
- Game shark codes.Here is a code to catch all the pokemon if you put in the code you fight the monster. 99 Bulbasaur | 09 Ivysaur | 9A Venusaur | B0 Charmander | B2 Charmeleon | B4 Charizard

- Funny Codes.These codes make the game pretty much silly to play. the only reason you should use them is to freak out your friends when you use a level 0 magikarp to blow away their level 100 dragonites.one more thing: all numbers used here must be in hexidecimal. thus, if you want a level 50 pokemon, put in 32 for the value. 50 will turn out level 80. If you put in things that would give values higher than the game is designed
- to handle (i.e. 1000 attack), you'll get some pretty funky symbols.
- Item Codes. Here is lots of Gameshark codes for ALL of the items: Thats all the cheats i have so far I'll update it as much as I can so come back for more secrets
- Get rid of grassy areas. Ok, this is one of those pretty much pointless tricks. But it's just a little thing I found out, and if you don't wanna walk through grassy areas and have the risk of being attacked, this is the trick for you. Ok first what you need, is some grass. Got it? Alright then. Now next what you need, is a pokémon who can use CUT. Got that? Ok now we're gettin' somewhere. Just walk up to an area of grass, use CUT, and a section that covers 4 squares of grass will be cut. Keep in mind though, that this doesn't work in places like Safari Zone. So the next time that your by a grassy area and you don't wanna get in a battle, give this trick a try.
- Special TM's. This is a really helpful trick. Go to the Rooftop Square in Celadon City and buy three different kinds of drinks. Give each of them to the girl that's in the room and she'll give you three special and strong TM's, including Ice Beam (my fav) Rock Slide, and Tri Attack.
- Invisible ComputerThis one really has no meaning, but it's kinda cool. Ok go to the hotel in Celadon City where they say they're all filled up. Walk over to the right wall, and face up with one square between you and the counter (it should be right where the computer is in a pokémon center.) Push the A button and a computer will turn on!
- Kangaskhan Kid. This one is only have proven. Talk to the man at Viridian City who teachs you how to catch a pokémon, say your not busy, listen to him, then FLY down to Cinnibar Island. Surf up and down the coast (now where have we all heard this one?) and eventually you'll run into a pokémon with a lot of weird symbols for a name and at level 0. Catch it (be warned, I caught him with my master ball because I didn't plan on saving, and when I caught him his picture had gone away but he was still fighting!) and give him a rare candy. Now here's where I havn't tested it because when I went to go get him out of the PC my gameboy froze on me. But I heard this part so I think I know what happens. Don't put him in a battle just give him a rare candy and he'll evolve into a Kangaskhan!
- Get mew. When you go to the SS. Anne get cut from the captian. Then go fight someone and lose on purpose. You'll end up at the pokemon center Then master the game. Get a Pokemon with surf and strength then go surf around the S.S ANNE( in water) use your item finder then you'll find an item it would be Super strength then push the truck there will be a pokeball its mew You might find super strength it matters what cartridge you have. Some work better then other games.
