This is my Truck photo album.

The new truck - notice all the storage space

This is a pcture of the truck when I first got it - even before I started putting tools in it. It has a lot of storage that is accessable from the ground. That was the plan. And there is room for a mini shop on the inside.

This picture of the inside of the truck was taken before I started building things into it.

A lot has been added since this was taken.

Windows were added.

The windows were added more for ventilation than for light - although it is a more pleasant work space now that they are there.

From the outside they appear to be very high - but inside they are at eye level. The inside shop area only has six foot head room -- more than enough for me.

The drawers are finally finished and installed. The drawer fronts are oiled Teak Plywood -- some stuff that was left over from a job that I did on a boat about 10 years ago and have been saving the scraps since then. They turned out pretty good and I learned a lot by doing them.

This picture shows the bumper after I had it raised and the hitch receiver redone so that it is up tighter under the step and baried in the bumper so that it is not such a knee knocker. It will be more dificult to get the pin in the hitch (if I ever get a hitch for it) but that is a fair trade for not busting my knee on it every other week.

I finally got to the last post (the posts are spaced along the walls so that there is something to fasten to if I want to add shelving or cabinets). Before putting in the last post I ran a piece of flexable conduit up from under the body -- that is the blue tubing that you see. It will give me a way of getting future wiring out under the box so I can run it forward (one thing I have in mind is an audible alarm to tell me when I have forgotten to shut the rear door).

And this is the post after it is in. Unfortunately it does not show all the work that went into making it fit around the bolts and tubing and the beam across above the door -- but that is the idea. When it is in place the whole thing looks neater.

This is the new clock that I installed. It is one of those new atomic clocks, that get a radio signal and set themselves so that they are always right on. It replaces the little clock that was clipped to the trash can in the picture above. The surround/mounting is made from a piece of cherry plywood with a piece of teak plywood to give it some thickness to hold the clock.

You will notice that the truck in somewhat more crowded than it was in the earlier picture (above).
