Chibiusa is the 5 year old child of Neo Queen Serenity and the King of Earth from 30th centry Crystal Tokyo. She comes to the 20th cenrty to search for the Imperium Silver Crystal and to escape from the Nagamoon family. She is quite intelligent and articulate for her age, and initially presents herself as an obnoxious, spoiled, high spirited, rude little girl. It is later revealed that this is a front in reality, ChibiUsa in lonely, scard, and hardours a tremendous secret. ChibiUsa has tried to repress the memories of what happend after she took her mother`s Imperium Siver Crystal, but this is ineffective and ChibiUsa often experiences flashbacks. She tests the love and friendship of others and tries to push them away with hurtful words and actions, including running away from Usagi`s home multiple times. ChibiUsa may not feel worthy of being loved, or wants to hurt others before thay canhurt her. After she has tested Usagi`s and the other Sailor Senshi` love for her, ChibiUsa reveals a new personality. She is curious, brave, energetic, and extremely helpful. ChibiUsa offers to do all of the housework when Usagi`s mother is sick, and evenplays nursemaid to Usagi. Although ChibiUsa and Usagi often argue and bicker, thay usually sleep in the same bed. Additionally, ChibiUsa shares a special bond with Darien and is extremely focused on her quest to find the Imperium Silver Crystal. It is not until much later that ChibiUsa discovers that Usagi and Darien are younger versions of her future parents. While in 20th century Tokyo, ChibiUsa attends school at Harbour Elementary with her close friend, Melissa. ChibiUsa is upset when she learns that Usagi and her older friends are actually the Sailor Senshi and for a short while loses faith in Sailor Moon`s abilities. Sailor Pluto acts as ChibiUsa`s guarduan while in the past, and communicates with her through the Luna Ball. ChibiUsa`s favourite food is pancakes (especially blueberry), though she is also fond of chocolate cake, ice cream, and curried chicken. ChibiUsa does not like being alone, and fears needles and thunderstorms
