I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
Chapter Five

Recap: “Shouldn’t you be downstairs with your girlfriend,” Mac said turning away from A.J.
“She went home, and we broke up,” A.J. said glumly.
“I’m sorry. Actually I’m not. She started all of this between us. With her overtly catty comments, and suggestions. I’m actually glad to see her go. (Author Note: nothing personal Mir! =0) She wasn’t good for you J. You deserve better.”
“Now this is the Mac I know. Thank you.”
“Yeah sure J. What do you want anyway?”
“Let me help you. Talk to me please!”
“NO J! Just please leave me alone!” With that said Mac walked out of the room once again leaving a very distraught A.J.

“You’ve done it again Mac. Brilliant. God, could you be any dumber,” she thought scolding herself. She sadly shook her head and went down stairs to watch the movies with the others.
While the others were downstairs now watching ‘The Waterboy’, A.J. was still sitting in Mac’s room trying to figure out what was going on. He got up and looked around her room. “So many memories,” he thought. His eyes wandered around the very unique room. The walls were a pale yellow, the ceiling was sky blue with sponge painted clouds, and her comforter was a pale yellow. A.J. walked around her very spacios room, he looked at the pictures and fresh cut daisies in her room. There were pictures of Mac and him everywhere. From the time they were toddlers to last month when they were in Paris. “What’s happening between us Mac?” A.J. said aloud thinking it was only to himself.
“Yeah, I’d like to know to bro,” said a voice from behind him. It was Brian.
“What’s up rok?” A.J. said turning away from the pictures and looking at Brian.
“That’s what I came to ask you. What’s goin’ on with you two?”
“I wish I knew that answer Bri. I don’t know what’s going on. I wish I knew, so I could fix it.”
“J have you ever thought that maybe she doesn’t want your help. Maybe this is something she has to figure out on her own. Just give her some time.”
“Thanks Brian. You really know how to cheer me up.” A.J. said sarcastically.
“Come on man. Let’s go watch the movie.” Brian said trying to coax his friend.
“Nah, that’s alright. I think I’ll stay here for a while,” A.J. said look once again at the pictures.
“Suit yourself.” Brian said as he turned and left. A.J. continued to look around her room. He looked at her computer, her book, and stuffed animals. He walked over to her dresser drawers and looked through her stuff. He knew it was wrong, but maybe he would find the answer in there. As he looked through the drawer his hand found a picture. He took it out and looked at it. It was a picture of Mac and Nick hugging each other. He turned the picture over to see what it said. All it had on it was ‘summer ‘97’. “What happened to you two? And why won’t you tell me Mac. I guess I’ll just have to find out myself,” A.J. thought to himself as he put the picture back, and continued to snoop. A.J. was curious to find out where Mac kept her diary, or if she even had one. A.J. finally got tired of looking for her diary, so he sat down on her bed. When he sat down on her bed, his hand hit something buried beneath the covers. He took it out and realized what it was; it was Mac’s diary. He opened it up, but then quickly shut it. “I can’t do this. It’s not right, but what else am I gonna do. I have to help her,” he thought. So he opened her diary, and began to read.
