I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
Chapter Seven

Recap: “Do I love Mac,” he said aloud to himself this time making sure no one else was there. Mac meant the world to him yes, but love. He was angry that Mac hadn’t told him any of this, but why was he angry? Because his best friend was hurt, or because she went out with Nick? “Nick’s a good guy, even though he hurt her.” A.J. thought. “I’ve gotta get out of here,” A.J. said once again to himself. He closed her diary and put it back where he found it. He straitened her room up, and walked back downstairs.
“Hey A.J.” Gina said as A.J. walked right past her. “Bye A.J.”
“Hey Bone, where ya going?” Nick asked and angry looking A.J. He stopped and stared at Nick for a moment, holding himself back from hitting him.
“Out.” A.J. said through clenched teeth.
“When will you be back?” said Stacy.
“Later.” With that said A.J. was gone, and no one knew exactly whereto.

Everyone stared after A.J. as he slammed the door and sped off.
“What’s up with him?” Kevin asked as everyone turned to look at Mac. Mac looked around at all the questioning faces and shrugged.
 “I don’t know what’s up with him. Should I?”
“You usually do. What happened between you two? You guys know everything about each other. Now, all of a sudden, you don’t know what’s up? For some reason I don’t believe that,” said a very profound Gina.
“Yeah well, I don’t know everything about A.J. Just like he doesn’t know everything about me.”
“Wait, wait, wait. Where’s all this coming from? I’ve never heard you say anything like this before. Something’s wrong. What is it?” Questioned a very concerned Brian.
“Nothing. I’m just saying that you don’t always know everything about people. Even best friends. Right Nick?” Mac said sending a deadly glare at Nick.
“Yeah Mac. You’re right,” Nick said nonchalantly while receiving an unbelieving look from Brian.
“It’s different between Nick and I. No secrets right Nick?” Brian asked his best friend.
“Right rok. No secrets.” Nick felt awful about lying to his friend. Then after he said it he regretted it.
“What about us Nick? Are there any secrets between us?” Asked a curious Gina.
“None. I promise.” Nick said as he kissed Gina. Mac looked away remembering the day that was she. When she was wrapped up in Nick’s arms and kissing him. She didn’t care though, she loved A.J., but she knew that if that would ever work between them, she would have to tell A.J. about her and Nick.
A.J. was driving down the road. He didn’t exactly know whereto, but he had to go. He had to figure out if he loved Mac or not, and he knew exactly what to do.
