I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
Chapter Nineteen
Recap: A.J. then pulled a box out of his coat pocket and opened
it up to reveal a beautiful emerald ring with diamonds around it. Mac gasped
when A.J. opened the box.
“What’s this for A.J.?” Mac asked astounded that A.J. had bought
it.
“It’s for you. It’s a promise ring. It’s a promise that we’ll
be married one day.” A.J. said taking the ring out of the box and putting
it on Mac’s ring finger. Mac looked at the ring and them back at A.J. She
pulled him close and kissed him again. A.J. pulled her closer and let his
hand go down her back. They were definitely going to make this a night
to remember.
A.J. and Mac remained that way for what seemed like an eternity.
Finally, Mac and A.J. broke away from each other breathless. Mac looked
at A.J. with wonder and anticipation in her eyes.
“What are we gonna do now?” Mac asked staring into A.J.’s eyes.
“Do you want to watch a movie or something?” A.J. said taking
her hands and placing them on his chest.
“Sure. Let’s watch it upstairs.” With that Mac led A.J. up the
stairs to her room. “Wow.” Mac said letting go of A.J.’s hand and looking
around her room. She looked at how A.J. had detailed everything. The rose
petals on the ground and candles everywhere. “I love you A.J.” Mac said
walking over to him.
“I know. I love you too. So what movie do you wanna watch?” A.J.
said sitting on Mac’s bed.
“I don’t think I wanna watch a movie anymore. This has been an
incredible night. I think I just wanna go to bed.” Mac said yawning slightly.
“O.K. I understand. I’ll see you tomorrow.” A.J. said getting
ready to leave when Mac grabbed his hand.
“No. I mean, don’t leave. Please stay.” Mac said shyly.
“Are you sure?” A.J. said holding Mac in his arms.
“Yeah. You can sleep in here if you want…”
“Why wouldn’t I want to?” A.J. said kissing Mac on the cheek.
Mac smiled and pushed A.J. away slightly.
“I’m gonna go change.” Mac said walking over to her dresser and
taking out a small cami and boxer shorts.
“O.K.”A.J. said watching Mac walk into her bathroom. While Mac
was in changing, A.J. took of his suit and dress shirt, and was left standing
in nothing but a wife beater and boxers. Mac came out of the bathroom with
her pale yellow ensemble on and smiled at A.J.
“Wow.” A.J. barely breathed out.
“You’ve seen me in this before.” Mac said walking to her closet
and hanging up her dress.
“Yeah, but every time I see you, you seem to get prettier.” Mac
closed her closet door and smiled at A.J. Mac walked over to the bed and
got in under the covers. She shivered when she got in the bed.
“I think I’m gonna go put on a pair of sweats. I’m freezing.”
Mac got up to go change when A.J. grabbed her wrists.
“Don’t change. If you’re cold, that just gives me a better reason
to wrap my arms around you.”
“Now that’s an offer I can’t refuse.” Mac and A.J. crawled back
in bed. Mac rested her head on A.J.’s chest and he wrapped his arms around
her. They talked for a little while and then they went to sleep, peacefully
resting in each other’s arms.
