I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
Chapter Twenty-One
Recap: “Great. So what do you want to do today?” A.J. said walking
over to Mac’s closet and getting out some of his clothes.
“I don’t know. Do you want me to call everyone else and see what
they’re doing?” Mac said fixing her hair in a ponytail.
“Sure. Maybe they’d like to go with us or something.”
“Alright. I’ll go make breakfast.”
“Great, but before you do. I’ve gotta do something.”
“What?” Mac said turning to face A.J.
“This.” A.J. kissed Mac lightly then turned around and went to
the shower. Mac stood there for a while and realized how much she really
loved him.
Mac walked downstairs to the kitchen to get breakfast started
for her and A.J. She picked up the phone and dialed Nick’s number.
“Hello,” said a groggy voice on the other end.
“Hey Nick! What’s up?” Mac’s perky voice asked over the line.
“Why are you calling so early Mac? It’s…”
“It’s 10:00am. The morning’s almost over. Are you up to
going to the beach today?” Mac said while breaking and egg to make an omelet.
A.J. slowly descended the stairs to see Mac talking on the phone with her
back toward him. A.J. couldn’t help but smile as he heard the way she talked
to Nick, and the way her body moved around the kitchen. He loved her more
than anything, and he knew that he never wanted to lose her.
A.J. quietly walked into the kitchen as she finished her conversation
with Nick, and wrapped his arms around her waist. Mac jumped at first and
then relaxed when she recognized the scent of cologne belonged to A.J.
He lowered his lips to her shoulder and nibbled gently.
“What’s for breakfast hun?” A.J. asked Mac loosening his grip
on her.
“hmmm…Ham omelets, hash browns and biscuits.” Mac said as she
turned around in A.J.’s arms. A.J. leaned down and kissed Mac. It started
out slow, and turned passionate. Mac slowly and breathlessly broke away
from A.J.
“What do you want to do today?” Mac said turning her attention
back to their breakfast.
“Spend it with you.” A.J. said walking to the kitchen counter.
“That sounds incredibly boring.” Mac said smiling at A.J.
“Nope. It’s the best thing I can possibly think of to do.” A.J.
said with a wry smile.
“Well then let’s eat breakfast so we have the rest of the day
to ourselves.” Mac said putting their plates on the table.
“I like that idea.”
After Mac and A.J. finished their breakfast, the decided to go
shopping.
“A.J.?” Mac asked as they walked through the Armani exchange.
“Yeah?” A.J. replied wrapping his arms around her waist.
“How did you know about Nick and I?” Mac said turning around
in his arms.
A.J. started to look a little uneasy.
‘Should I tell her I read her diary? Of course not! Are you stupid?’
A.J. thought to himself.
“Um…well…Nick…to…told me. Yeah. Nick told me.”
“You can’t lie to me.”
“Ok, but please don’t be mad at me. I read…your diary.”
“YOU WHAT! How could you A.J.? That is private. That was a complete
invasion of my space. Is that why you suddenly realized that you loved
me?”
“Mac please…” Before A.J. could finish Mac slapped him, and walked
out of the store.
