Chapter 3 "You are what?" She said with her mouth dropping of disgust. "You heard me." "What are you some kind of little slut Kourtney? You are not even married! How could you have this done to yourself?" I was appalled by my mother’s words. "How could you do this to me! You know what is going to happen. My name, our name is going to have a bad thing behind it. YOU! Do you have any idea what people are going to say?" My mother said going on. "AND YOU!" she said pointing at Joey who still had his arms around my waist. "DON'T TOUCH MYDAUGHTER! Get your hands off of her. This is all your fault!" Joey was really pissed now. He took his hands off of me then stepped forward, but before he could say anything I pulled him back and started screaming at my mother. "How dare you mother. This is not Joey's fault. How dare you blame this on him. I love him. He loves me. And why the hell do you care what other people think? About what it's going to do to your name. That's all you fucking care about and I am sick of it. Get over it mother. And as of now if you ever come near me I swear to god that I will have a restraining order put on you. You will have no role in this child’s life. And I will pray that everyday that this child will never turn out to be like you. I will not let it. You are the bitch, mother. And you are the slut not me. You have used daddy for his money for the last 25 years, and you sleep around behind his back. Good Bye Daddy." I yelled as I took Joey's hand and ran out the door in tears. The whole way back to Orlando I was shaking from anger. Joey was pretty much silent watching the road. "Joey I am so sorry." I said still angry. "For what babe?" "What my mother said. It was not your fault." I said. He was very angry too. "I know it wasn't. I don't care what she said. I'll never have to see her again." He said driving. "All that matters is that the two of us love each other and have each other. That's all that counts." "I know. I am glad I have someone like you." I said. We both broke out into smiles. "I'm glad that at least your family is behind us. I always liked them better." I said with a slight giggle remembering how his family reacted. They were so happy. They all started to jump around and talk about all the things we could buy the baby. And what his mother could make for it. I wish my family had been like that. We were soon back in Orlando and the tour had begun. The months went by quick and I was soon 8 months pregnant and the tour still had a week left. Everyone knew about the pregnancy. The fans were even sending baby gifts to Joey in the mail. "KOURTNEY!" Justin yelled from across the venue's back stage before the concert jogging over to me. "What's up curls?" I asked. "I want you to meet someone. This is my girlfriend Ashley." He said introducing the two of us. "Nice to meet you." I said smiling at her. "Same here." "Well, Kort. There is one more person who wants to see you today. Go into the make-up area. Joey wants to talk to you." Justin said as he directed me to the area then left to be alone with Ashley. I walked over to Joey and sat on the chair next to him. "What's up Daddy?" I asked as he was getting his hair done. "Haha. Someone is here to see you Kort." "Who?" I asked looking at him. "Hey munchkin." I heard a man's voice say behind me. It was my father. "DADDY!" I said as I got up and gave him a hug. I had not spoken to my father since I broke the news to him and my mother. "I've missed you my little girl. Listen." He said as our hug broke apart. "I want to apologize." "For what?" I asked wondering. "Well, about the day you told us you were pregnant." "Daddy. I was never mad at you. It was mom." "I know. But I didn't say anything. Anyway, I want to be part of your life. You mother and I got a divorce. You were right. She just wanted my money. I decided I needed a reality check. I want to be a grandfather. And I want to be here for you." I had a tear drop from my eye."I love you dad." I said as I gave him a hug. "Oh dad." I said breaking apart again. "I have more news for you." I said pulling Joey up from his chair. "We’re getting married." I said hoping for a good reply. "Congratulations!" My father said. "And you!" He said to Joey. "I'm glad she picked you to spend the rest of her life with. She loves you and you are a very good person. I'm glad that she has done so well for herself." They shared a manly hug and chatted. The concert went on and my father and I watched the show from the side of the stage. That's when I felt a pain. Not a labor pain. My father carried me backstage and that's when he saw me hemorrhaging. "Daddy, what's happening to me?" I screamed with tears.
