Mandy, Faith, Gwen, Shar, and Abby loved to dance...They entered any talent show they could, but coming from such a small town there wasn't many at all.

To keep themselves busy, the girls started a dance grouped called "The Fly Girl's".

The girls looked up to dancers like the Laker Girls and the backstreet boys trainer.

Don't think these girls had it good...for one, gwens parents are about to split up and are fighting over her.

Abbys boyfriend beats her a lot, she doesn't tell anyone, not even Gwen and thats Abby's best friend.

Mandy is throwing up all her food, she has been for some time now, she won't let anyone help her, but is trying to get better on her own.

Faith smokes a lot, sometimes when the girls are dancing, she gets where she cant breath to well. The girls are trying to get her to quit but it not working.....so far.

And as for Shar, well her life is pretty good right now.

The girls just had gone up to Abby's bedroom to watch tv.

Gwen changed the channel to MTV..

"Ohh, please play "As long as you love me" Abby cried, and all the girls did the same.

Within 30min. of watching videos they didn't see the Backstreet Boys....so Abby went to the bathroom as the other girls went to get some snacks.

Abby had come back from the bathroom to find the very starting of "As long as you love me" on MTV....

"Oh my gosh girls get up here the bsb are on!" Abby yelled at the top of her lungs.

The other girls tried to hurry, they started running up with handfuls of snacks.

Gwen tripped, sending the bowl of chips flying, and fell back on Faith.

Faith screamed and dropped the bottle of soda....They all watched the bottle of Sprite fall step by step 'til it hit the bottom of the steps and broke opened, soda was everywhere!!!

"Ohh no guys what are we gonna do?!?!? Well I’ll start cleaning' it up." Shar said, "Yeah us too." both Faith and Mandy agreed. As Gwen went and got Abby.

"What took you so long??" Abby asked, still watching the bsb cool dance moves, "Well Abby you see we kinda have a problem." "Oh no what did you guys do??" "Well come here...."

Abby followed Gwen to the top of the steps, "Oh my gosh we gotta get this cleaned up before my dad gets home!!"(Abby's mom left when she was younger, Abby never really talked to her dad, they weren't that close.) "Ok Gwen, go get the mop." Abby ordered, as she helped pick up the chips.

Within' 20min. the steps were spotless. The girls returned back to Abbys room and watched Dawson’s Creek. After Dawson’s creek, the girls just sat around the room talking about all the dumb stuff they find themselves doing.....Well I guess we should go. Mandy, Faith, and Shar said, "Ok guys, bye." "Yeah, bye, see you whenever..."

"Gwen, your not gonna leave me are you??" "Are you kiddin' why would i want to go home to parents who are both trying to get me to live with them!!" "I'm glad when my parents split they didn’t fight over me." "Yeah, well your lucky." Soon the girls fell asleep with the thoughts of dancing in their heads.

A week later, the girls found themselves in a dancing hall in Albany N.Y., they went through the dance over and over again..."Lets take a break." Shar whined, so they all agreed to take a break. They all sat looking in the big mirror's placed along the wall's

"Hey guys i brought my moms video camera!" Shar said. going into her book-bag to get it. "Ok cool, lets do the dance and see how we look on camera." "Ok, sounds good to me." Shar said, agreeing with Mandy.

"Here Shar, set the camera on this chair. It will get us all in the picture." Faith pointed out. After the girls got to Mandys apartment they put the tape in the VCR and watched the tape. Wow! We look good!" Abby said kinda shocked, and they all agreed.

"Hey guys, we should send a video to the Backstreet boys!" Abby stated. "Why?" Mandy asked, looking weirdly at Abby. "Well we can make a little more stuff like just us hanging out and the dance and send it, just for something to do."

"Ok, I guess that will be fun." The girls had the video done by 7:00pm, it just showed them having fun and talking' about their dancing.

All the girls went to their own house to go to bed. The talent show was the next night, so they needed to get to sleep early.

All the girls happened to wake up around the same time the next morning. The min. Abby woke up she remembered that the talent show was that night and she smiled to herself as she got into the shower. After all the girls were dressed they each called each other to meet up at the place where the talent show was held.

"Dad, I’m leaving for the talent show." "Oh, ok Ab’s have a good time." Abbys dad responded not even looking away from the tv. Within no time the girls were waiting their turn to go on stage. "Ok, thank you for that song the lady said as a girl with blond hair walked off the stage. The next act is 5 girls called "The Fly Girls" and they will be dancing to Everybody Backstreet’s Back.

The girls did their dance and without 1 major mess-up. After all the other acts were over the winners were picked.

"Thank you to everyone that entered this talent show but there will only be 3 winners and 3rd place goes to Jenny Snow (clapping) second place goes to Beth Green (more clapping) and the winners of the 1998 talent show is......The Fly Girls!"

The girls all returned to Shar's house and had a little party.

"You guys, I'm soo glad we won." Gwen stated.

"Yeah, we worked hard, now we don't have to work everyday!" Faith added.

"Yeah we can enjoy the summer!!"
