The car was cold and Justin immediately turned on the heat in the front of dash board when they sat in.
"Yeah but where are we GOING?!" Savannah kept on repeating. Justin would just laugh, as he backed the car out of the parking spot and over top of the crushing snow. She didnt stop questioning him. "Where are we going?! Tell me tell me!" She pestered, purposely being as annoying as she could as he focused on the road. "To my house? To my home? Is that it? We can go home now?"
"You can go home now" Justin interrupted. In a mad rush of words, Savannah kept questioning.
"Whatever. I can go home, right. So why am i going home? Where's Kevin? whats this letter?!" She unfolded it again and looked at the scribbled down words. Sailor, The opening words read. As usual.
**"I LOVE the ocean..." Savannah told him, as she rubbed his knees that were on each side of her. The waves crashed a few feet in front of them and the sand underneath her feet was getting cold. Kevin's arms wrapped around her tighter and she leaned back onto him more than before, the back of her head resting on his chest. The cold air of the night blew by them and she grabbed his arms around her to keep herself a little warmer. He breathed into her ear from behind.
"I love you..." He whispered, as she watched the water reflecting ripples of the moon from above them. She nestled her head against his chest and felt the legs of his pants around the sides of her as she smiled to herself.
"I love ya more captain.." She whispered. Kevin lifted his head from next to hers slightly.
"What'd you call me?" He laughed. Savannah giggled to herself as she started to play with his jeans in her fingers.
"If I can be your Sailor... that makes you my Captain, right?" She laughed. Kevin breathed a laugh into her ear.
"Okay Sailor."**
"DAMN you stupid driver!!" Justin interrupted Savannah's thoughts with his threats to the car in front of him. He slammed his hand on the horn of the steering wheel and the honking sound beamed through the snowy weather. "Stupid people on their car phones!" He yelled. Savannah laughed at him, a new memory flooding her mind every minute. She trusted Justin was taking her somewhere good.
**
the minutes it took driving through that snow seemed endless... Knowing she had to be going somewhere good enough, Savannah couldnt help but getting flashes in her mind as to what would happen if they got in a crash. But it seemed that every time there was something good coming up, her mind would come up with the ironicy of a crash... it never happened though.
As the windshield wipers brushed the snow away from falling on the window, Savannah got a clear view of where they were headed. The snow covered trees were lit up with an array of colourful lights, and because the sun had started to set and the day had begun turning into night, the lights were on, sparkling a glimmering shine on the white snow below. The streets were quite empty, but Savannah knew- nope, this definitely wasnt her HOUSE justin was taking her to. She leaned forward in her seat, her mittens clenching the shriveled letter to the dashboard between her mittens.
"WHERE are we off to Justin? We're down TOWN!" She complained. Justin shook his head.
"You just dont give up, do you?"
"well NO! Not when its something i've longed for for so long... I'm trusting that you're bringing me to some place near kevin.... How could he leave me there..? Whats going on?" She repeated nervously..The car turned into a sign and Savannah's face turned to surprise when she read it: "Bayshore Beach" She turned to Justin to grab his hand. "What are we doing here?!" She asked, hesitating still. He pushed the button on his door and she noticed the lock on her side spring up, now becoming unlocked.
"Go get 'em Tiger!" Justin laughed, as he pushed Savannah to get out of the car. She looked at him as if he were insane...
"Out of the car? You want me... to just stand out here... at the BEACH.. in the middle of WINTER? what?"
"Captain's orders!" He replied, and she was pushed out to the white snowy ground....
