[not yet finished either]

"...And even if i was to see you again, i know i would still feel the same way. but unfortunately, i cant see you. I cant spend my life depending on what might become of US, i cant seem to be on my own anymore, because all i need is YOU, and i cant live my life depending on someone else. I know i'm babbling on, that's all i ever do when i speak ' from the heart' but trust me, it's just what i'm thinking, completely. I need you, and i love you, but the fact is- i need you too much, that i have to see if i can get away. I hope to see you again sometime, look into your eyes again... and hold you again. 'Sailor'..."

She threw the letter gently on the floor as her eyes rested back up to the window outside. Snowflakes hit the ground again, the tree outside had branches covered in white, and the sun was dimming. The house was warm but she got chills from just thinking about the outside. The fire was burning downstairs, but once she came up to her room to get herself a sweater, her eyes caught a glimpse of the letter she still had underneath her lamp on the night table and she ended up staying there. "To my little Sailor" the front read. Savannah slipped on a beige sweater from on top of her bed and took a sigh. "...look into your eyes again..." She thought. Her mind flashed back to the last time.

*"You ready?!" Kevin asked, holding onto the back of her coat as tight as he could. Savannah shifted on the red toboggan slightly, moving herself back into the legs that surrounded both sides of her. She let out a quiet laugh and shut her eyes.
"Yeahh! But you're CRAZY!" She repeated, holding the strings of the sled tight in her blue mittens. His grasp tightened and she felt the sled begin to move, as his feet shifted on the ground, pushing them forwards. The winter air was crisp and cold, but with the large coats they had put on and the warm body surrounding her, Savannah was still completely warm. As they headed down quickly through the snow covered hill, the arms behind her wrapped around her stomach as they both screamed with delight. "Haa AH! You're gonna kill us!" Savannah yelled constantly. As she closed her eyes again, she felt the sled slowing down, and finally come to an abrupt stop at the end of a snow pile. The man around her slipped around from the back of the sled, to sit in the snow in front of her. He took her hands from the permanent grasp they had on the rope and held them in his hands, his black gloves still on. She opened her eyes and saw him sitting in front of her, the light from the golf course only coming from some houses somewhat nearby. The light was dim but she could see the outlines and features of his face as his eyes sparkled and he smiled. He took one hand and brushed a snowflake off her nose softly.
"You're okay Sailor" he smiled. Savannah laughed and leaned forward, looking back into his eyes as the snow began to fall on them both again.
"You're not cold from these nice Canadian winters you're not used to?" She laughed. He held her other hand back in his again, rubbing his fingers over her mittens, but still looking into her eyes. With the utmost love she could possibly find in herself, she stared back into his. She could see everything through those eyes, they were her view to who he was. She loved him so much. He softly lifted her mittens to his lips and kissed them, even though it wasnt her bare hands, he still wanted to. He smiled still, caught in a sort of infatuation with her...
"Not with you here!" He whispered*

She shook her head and snapped out of it, turning her head away from the window to the outside. She picked up her mug of hot chocolate from the night table and headed back downstairs.
"Hey Calvin" she muttered, spotting her cat circle around her feet as she headed down the staircase. "I know i know, you want me to pick you up, one minute" She sighed. Once she reached the bottom of the stairs, she noticed the faint sound that the phone in the kitchen was ringing. She still lived with her parents, and figured that since most of her friends were out of town for the winter break, she thought it'd be for them. "I'm coming, i'm coming" she repeated as the phone rang another time. She finally reached the kitchen and picked up the cordless phone off the wall. "Hellloo?" She rang into the phone.
"Hey Savannah" said a male voice on the other side... Savannah let out another long sigh, her hopes being lifted and then dropped back down for just a split second.
"Justy..." She breathed into the phone. She set her mug down on the table and went into the family room next to the fire place... The burning heat filled the air around it and she stared out still into the snow falling outside, from the big glass door.
"How ya doin?" Justin asked quietly on the other side. Savannah smiled to herself... good old Justin. He was always there knowing something was up, even if it was none of his business, he had a way of making things right. The two had been best friends for over 5 years now.
"I'm alright, I'm... yeah i'm good." She finally let out, playing with a carpet on the edge of the cement fireplace. She could feel Justin's smile on the other side of the line and she knew just then what he was thinking.
"You mind if i come over?" He asked. She laughed to herself- she knew it. Looking at the white ground outside she ran her hands through her hair and smiled again.
"Of course I dont mind- as long as you can make it up the STREET with this snow!" It wasnt even ten seconds before the doorbell rang and Savannah got herself up from the fireplace to answer it. "One second..." She mouthed into the phone, and headed to the door. When she opened it, a tall blond stood there, one hand on the door frame, the other hand pressing a button on a cellular phone.
"Too late." He smiled. Justin walked in the door, letting himself in as always, as Savannah let out a small laugh.
"You crazy." She said, wrapping her arms around his waist in a hug. He was so tall he enveloped her into his chest and placed his chin on top of her head, wrapping his arms around her smaller framed body.
"I missed you..." Justin squeezed out, pulling her closer. Savannah looked up, into his blue eyes, towering above her and laughed.
"It's been two days." She smiled.

Sitting up in her room was something they often did. Talking for hours would then take place, up to the time when they would turn around, lieing on Savannah's bed, to face the clock on the side bed table again, and see it read past midnight. But for now, it only read 4pm, and as long as the light was still shining through her window, and the snow was still falling outside, they felt safe and warm inside, with plenty of time to discuss. Savannah's parents had left for a while too, on her father's business trip, and the house was all to herself. Her brother was visiting his girlfriend in Hamilton. Justin flopped himself down on the waterbed inside her room and glanced out the window.
"Pretty cold out there!" He breathed. Savannah sat down beside him and nodded.

*"You warm enough?" Kevin repeated softly. Somehow lieing in the snow in the middle of the night didnt seem to be the warmest thing imaginable, but it was amazing what body heat could do. Kevin lied with his back on the ground, gazing aimlessly into Savannah's eyes as she sat on his chest, one leg on each side. Her mittens traced hearts on his winter jacket as she bent down to place a small kiss on his cheek.
"Just fine Kev..." She smiled. The red toboggan was tossed aside on their left and it was amazing how clear and empty an old golf course could look at night. A vast sea of white snow, surrounding them completely. Pine trees scattered around to form a forest on the sides, but right now, they were the only ones there, in the middle of it all, lit up only by the house lights. Kevin searched around him and saw that they WERE really, completely and totally... alone. He smiled to himself, never taking his eyes away from Savannah's gaze.
"Promise me one thing Sailor..." He started. Savannah smiled down as she watched his chest, still tracing patterns and now playing with the zipper of his inner jacket.
"What's that?" She asked quietly.
"Promise me... that you'll never look at me any differently.." Kevin said, placing a hand on her side. She got confused for a second and stopped fidgiting (?) with the zipper again.
"What do you mean?" Snow continued to fall and one landed right on Kevin's nose, as she brushed it away with her mittens.
"Look into my eyes..." he started, staring at her with the same usual look that he always had when they were alone... or even in a room full of friends, it never seemed to dissapear. "This look is another way.. of saying- I love you." He whispered. He rubbed his hand on her side as she smiled. "I can see that in your eyes too."
"Because I love you." Savannah interrupted. Kevin smiled and nodded slightly, his hair brushing in the cold snow behind him.
"Promise..." he repeated.
"I promise."*
