Stirred Cocktails are no more complex than Highballs to prepare. the process mainly involves pouring the ingredients over ice in a seperate container, stirring using a bar spoon, then straining or dumping into the glassware, depending on prep instructions. Stirring is done when the ingredients may be difficult to blend, or to chill a drink that is served without ice. In most cases, you can get away with pouring directly into the glass over ice, and stirring before serving. It's not cheating!
