Lyrics: Bono and The Edge. Music: U2.
You can reach... but you can't grab it
You can hold it control it oh no, but you can't bag it
You can push but you can't direct it
Circulate regulate oh no, you cannot connect it
You know you're chewin' bubblegum
You know what that is but you still want some
You just can't get enough of that lovie-dovie stuff
LET GO LET'S GO... DISCOTHEQUE
GO GO LET GO... DISCOTHEQUE
LOVE
it's not a trick... you can't learn it
You know you're chewin' bubblegum
You know what that is but you still want some
You just can't get enough of that lovie-dovie stuff
Lookin' for the one
But you know you're somewhere else instead
You want to be the song be the song that you hear in your head
But you take what you can get
'Cos it's all that you can find
And you know there's something more
But tonight, tonight, tonight...

VIDEO
Directed by Stephane Sedhanoui. Image forthcoming. Video concept involves the band, dressed in Village People-like costumes, performing inside a giant disco-ball flashing with just about every color of the rainbow.
Chris' Rating: ****1/2. It's just so cool! Granted, having Bono in a cop-suit thrusting his crotch into the camera is not exactly a turn-on for me. However, the sheer intensity of every frame in this video is outstanding-- it just pulses with life and a newly invigorated U2. Hell, it's even funny at times. Who knew so little plot could go so far?
