I rolled my eyes as I impatiently waited for the woman to call her manager. I was upset. The brand new dress I bought had a hole the size of Texas in the back that I didnt notice when I bought it. Guess what? I lost my receipt. So of course this undereducated, low-paid, "big-boned" (It was the only thing above average about this woman), was giving me hell.
I was tired, cranky, and annoyed. It was a Monday, the first day of my period, and I was having a bad hair day. You can just imagine my mood, eh?
An old woman appeared from the back and wabbled over to the desk. A big fuzz ball of gray stood on her head and BIG square glasses barely stayed on her face. I snickered at her lime green skirt and hot pink sweater.
"Is there a problem?" she asked.
"Yes, I bought this dress Saturday, I lost the receipt and look at the cut out of Texas in my dress," I growled.
"How much was the dress ma'am?" she asked.
"$52.98," I smiled.
"Ok, because you dont have the receipt I cant give you cash, I can give you credit though," she explained.
"Can I just exchange it?" I asked. She nodded. I walked over to the rack, picked up a dress my size, checked it for holes and brought it to the lady. When she was done with whatever she had to do I looked at the girl.
"Now, was that so hard?" I hissed and turned around and walked out of the store.
As I was walking out, I bumped into someone. I looked to see who it was. An amazing figure stood before me. He was kinda tall, taller than me at least. He had dark sunglasses on, a red baseball hat, a white wifebeater, and dark baggy jeans. His arms were covered with tattoos and he had silver earrings in both of his ears.
We locked eyes and the world stopped revolving. The only thing were him and I. Our eyes looked deep into each other, desperatly trying to learn each other.
"I'm sorry," he finally spoke.
"No problem," I said almost in a whisper. Our eyes were still locked.
Finally I decided I was just embarrassing myself and I broke the stare and walked out of the store. What was I thinking in there? I dont know, but I have to find out who that guy was. I walked through the mall, that guy on my mind.
"There you are!" Leah, my best friend said coming up to me.
"Where have you been?" Megan, my other best friend said coming up behind Leah.
"Exchanging my dress," I answered.
"Melissa, are you ok?" Megan asked waving her hand in front of my face.
"Yeah I'm fine, let's get going," I answered looking back at that store.
I wonder who he was.
