Epilogue

"Hello?" I called. Kevin had invited me over to his place for a dinner with the guys. Dressed in my newest Versaci suit I walked in and called ofr someone. I walked to the table and on a Post-It note there was a small note attached. It read,

Even when life's been rude there's always time for your favorite food. Go to Mac's for your next clue.

Whoever it was had interesting rhyming skills. Mac's resturant was famous for Asain food. My favorite. I got in my car and drove there my curiousity running wild.

Upon my arrival to Mack's I noticed another colorful note on one of the waiting benchs.

Sorry D, there's no time to chow down, Cause you know there are more clues to be found. I know you love Willy Wonka so check Hollywood Video for your next clue.

Whoever it was knew me well, but everyone knows I love Willy Wonka. The goose chase was kind of fun and it got my mind of of Maria.

I walked into the video stare and over to the children's section. I opened the case and sure enough there was another Post-It note.

I bet by know you'd like to know Soon you will but there's a couple more to go. I know you loved your Batman Motorcycle, and you'll never guess what I found... Go to 1263 Madison Ave. And ask for Ms. Robbinson.

I had no idea who knew about my motorcycle. I thouht to myself of my favorite childhood toy. There was no way they were still around.

"Are you Ms. Robbinson," An old woman nodded.

"You must be Howie," I nodded. She led me into a room where a motorcycle was sitting, I remembered being small enough to ride it. She smiled as I walked over to it and pulled the note off.

I hope you like this special treat, Only one more note before we meet. The beachhouse has the next clue waiting for you.

"You wouldn't know who is doing this would you?" The woman shook her head. I loaded the motorcycle into my trunk and waved.

I drove the to the beach, my lips curved into a smile.

I walked up the stairs to door of the beachhouse. I was surprised there wasn't note on the door. Disappointed, I turned to leave and noticed a note on the ground.

I hope you got here okay and that these notes make you smile All will be revealed in a little while. Walk down the beach towards the east and you will see something special.

I took off my shoes and rolled up my pants. I removed my jacket and walked down the beach. I was almost to the woods before I saw a picnic blanket laid out on the sand. A basket was on the side and there were candles and fine china out. On the basket there was a piece of paper.

Sometimes you don't know what you have, until it walks out of your life. You turn him away, when you want to be his wife. You cry all day and all night, when all you want is him. Even though he tried, you wouldn't let him win.

My eyes filled with tears as I continued,

You ran away, you made a mistake, and you need him so bad. And you hope to God that he'll be glad When he sees your face and knows you love him Cause you do. I couldn't think of anything else to rhyme with. I know I'm not a poet, but I tried.

I looked around tears falling from my eyes.

Please take me back Howie. I love you.

"MARIA!!" I ran around in circles, suddenly she appeared from the woods. I ran to her and the two of us let the tears fall.

"I'm so sorry," She sobbed kissing me as if she were going to loose me any second.

"I love you." I whispered kissing her again.

I looked at her left hand and noticed the ring.

"You're wearing it..." She nodded. I picked her up kissing her and spinning her around.

We made a promise to each other that night. There would be no more running. Every day and every night we wanted to fall asleep and wake up beside each other, for the rest of our lives.

And so far...it looks like we've got a good start.
